We had an amazing experience at Orca Lodge!  Soldotna is an ideal base for exploring the peninsula, with easy access to Homer, Seward, and other nearby spots. The cabin location is perfect, right on the Kenai River and close to plenty of food spots. The cabins were comfortable, and the campfire area was fantastic—complete with a fire pit, grill, and incredible view. Best of all, you can fish right on the property with stairs leading down to a platform dock and a long stretch of the river. They even provide fishing rods and boots, making it super convenient. Highly recommend!

Had a great time at the Orca Lodge, easy access to the Kenai River front and great hospitality. The environment of the lodge and the community fire pit every night was awesome. The guest from all over the world were very friendly and it was great to chat about all of our catches and experiences throughout the week as well as sharing snacks and dinners with each other. Eric the staff member onsite was awesome and very helpful. I will be back to the Orca Lodge if possible every year. In all reality you could spend the entire time at the lodge and catch countless fish and have fun doing so.

Water views and sounds for days at the Orca lodge located right on the Kenai River. We could walk out our door and hear the sounds of the water and see the current going by. They provided all the supplies you needed to try your hand at fishing. Our cabin had two bedrooms and a loft. Felt very roomy yet homey at the same time. Campgrounds would have a fire every night with families cooking or just enjoying the fire. It’s a small group of cabins and over a day or two you get to know your neighbors. Very centrally located to grocery stores, restaurants and a laundromat if you need one. Our fish was vacuum sealed and packed by Eric for our trip home. We were able to go to Homer and Whittier on day trips.

Just got back from staying at Orca Lodge for a ladies fishing trip! We live in Anchorage and have stayed at a few different places in Soldotna over the years. This was BY FAR the nicest place we've stayed! We stayed in 2 of the quaint little Wildflower Lodge Cabins which has a viewing platform and fire pit area with a panoramic view of the Kenai River. Rustic, yet updated, cabins with all the amenities, friendly owners, and fantastic location! Highly recommend.

This is our 2nd time at staying at this lodge.. The first trip was in June of 2022 and this time my husband wanted to trout fish. We had a wonderful trip. The cabins were exactly what we needed after a long day of fishing. Very well equipped to cook your meals in and have coffee in the morning. We went with our grandson to trout fish and boy did we catch a lot of fish. Our guide Chase was very knowledgeable and timely. Mark the owner is a standup guy and great to work with.

All was ready in Wolf Lodge when we arrived. Although we had been to Orca Lodge before Alicia made sure we had directions, the room code and the WiFi password if needed. |The mattress was great -- some of the best sleep in recent times. Maybe because we were tired from the great fishing. |Fish cleaning site was awash in the Kenai River due to 2 glacial dams giving way. |Orca Lodge is close to all the amenities in Soldotna, including grocery stores, restaurants and gift shops. |We look forward to our next visit!

Marc, Samantha, Chase and the Team were wonderful. Location was perfect, right in the middle of all fishing towns and locations. The cabins were cleaned and they were responsive to our needs or re-supply. I have been going to this lodge for all our fishing trips and lodging and they are the best! Marc is local and he knows the fishing, giving us with tips and bookings were on point. Thanks Marc, we will be rebooking again!!!

Our three generation family stayed at Orca Lodge for a four day stay. The accommodations were great. We started our trip by fishing off the dock behind the property. Fishing for sockeye is very different there. We used the provided fishing gear and with a little practice got 11 fish.
We cut then into fillets and froze them in the chest freezer. They also set up 4 days of fishing tours. All of the trips were outstanding! The guides were very personable, knowledgeable, and knew where to go for the best fishing! We started out with halibut and limited out. The next two days were river fishing for sockeye followed by a fly in to a lake for silver. We limited out on two of the three trips. The one day we didn't limit out was due to a 50% drop in the inflow of fish. The 5 of us brought home 6 large boxes of fish totalling over 200 pounds!! We will remember our trip as we enjoy the salmon and halibut!
