Alison was absolutely amazing and the house is located in such a great spot. We had a blast and felt like true family guests during our stay! Local food is within walking distance, homemade breakfasts we sooooo good. 100% recommend staying here especially if you’re looking for a Pats Peak ski trip with the family!

My Husband and I spent three nights here. The House is well kept! Everything was clean and neat. The water pressure in the shower was great and there was plenty of hot water. Allison is a great host. We checked in after hours and she gave us a code to get in. They have a dog named Fred. He barked when we got there but for the most part was timid and let us be. I think this was because the owners went out for the evening because the next moring he was full of fun. He pretty much sticks to his Mama's side. I believe the dog is not allowed in the rooms because my Husband is allergic to dogs and had no probelms breathing or sneezing. Even in the common rooms he was not bothered. Beds were comfortable, air conditioning worked well.|The view out back is beautiful and peaceful and they even have a huge screened in porch. |Breakfast each morning was very good and was enough to fill you up. I did find it a little strange they did not post the night before what breakfast would be. This would be in case you didn't like what was being served you could opt out and eat elsewhere and not waste food. They do check for allergies BEFORE you check in. ||The other thing we found really strange was there was no key to your room. You could lock the door once you were inside but other than that it was not locked when you were not there. Allison said they have never had a theft problem and would reimburse if ever there was a problem. However, I prefer to lock my door when I'm not there.|Overall I give it five stars and I would stay there again as well as recommend it to others.

We had an excellent 3-night stay at Henniker House--beautiful location backing on the scenic Contoocook River. Henniker is a small and quiet college town, even though it is within a few minutes drive of major highways. Our room was Tooky Nook--spacious with a well-furnished bathroom with exhaust fan and forced air electric heater for the chilly mornings. Private deck overlooking the river. Breakfasts were varied, delicious, and filling. Alison is a friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful innkeeper. Ted, the house poodle, is friendly but not a nuisance. A couple of restaurants and a nice bakery are within a couple of minutes walk. I'm an early riser and the bakery opens at 7 a.m., so I was able to get my espresso/cappuccino infusion every morning except Sunday. We hIghly recommend the Henniker House and Alison.

My wife Lisa and I went up to Henniker NH for a wedding and decided to make a long weekend out of the trip. We only live an hour away but we couldn't resist when we saw this cute B&B on line called The Henniker House B&B. The room had ample space and breakfast was delightful each morning and our hosts were pleasant and friendly. Alison the owner was very knowledgeable about the area and where to go and what to see. We ate dinner at daniel's just down the street (walking distance) and my fried clams were as good as any seaside restaurant I've ever ate at from Boston to Maine. Our other dinner we had was at the Country Spirit restaurant just outside of downtown and the "Award Winning" Chili was mediocre but the Mac n' Cheese was to die for and my wife's fried Haddock was delicious. We highly recommend staying there if you ever are up that way or just want to get away. The Contoocook River runs just behind the Inn and is so tranquil listening to it at night, it was a perfect way to drift off to sleep.

We only stayed one night but could have enjoyed it for much longer if we didn’t need to move on. Our room was clean and furnished with old New England dressers and bed. The mattress was firm and comfortable. The sitting areas were interesting with all the historical items and art. There’s a large outside deck overlooking the river which is perfect for lounging and snoozing. The host were welcoming and accommodating. Excellent all around. Ted, the resident standard poodle, is also a great friendly host. We had a wonderful full breakfast.

We recently stayed @ Henniker House B&B for 2 weeks to be near family & a new grandchild, & enjoyed our stay immensely. Allison is a gregarious & welcoming host, & an accomplished inn keeper. The Balcony Room is large & comfortable with a/c, multichannel TV, & lovely view of the river. Breakfast is simple, but delicious: eggs, bacon, waffles, pancakes, fresh fruit & very good coffee. Located in “downtown “ Henniker, close to shops, restaurants, ice cream & New England College. A good choice that we hope to visit again.

We had a lovely time staying here. This is a beautiful and quaint little place, and Allison, the owner and manageress of the guesthouse was very nice to talk to as well. Breakfast was excellent and generous. Recommended!! We would come here again
