They are so nice here! I was looking for a new retirement home and they showed me apartments at Villa Serena and Monaco (they have 2 properties here) I couldn't decide where I wanted to move. They we patient with me while I made my decision. All the girls in the office helped me. They made everything so easy. Thank you for taking such good care of a Senior 🙂

First, it’s supposed to be 55 and older but there are single young males, families and young married couples. They’re nice when you come in to purchase Once you’re in you are not as important as a sale. Will not reply to phone messages unless you are looking to rent. No one responsible is around on the weekends. So if you need something (air conditioning fluid) you will wait. The front building is nice and well kept. The back apartments are ignored or partially maintained though, that is contractually required. Do not let your elderly parents rent here. The turn over is high! You’ll just have to move again within a year.

If you like rats, bugs in your food and all your things, don't mind an electrical fire, and really like the roof to repeatedly pour water all over your things and flood your bedroom and management that lies constantly, then this is the place for you. It is traumatizing and shameful how they treat seniors. I have also witnessed rudeness and meanness to seniors. The building should be condemned the smoke detector did not work when the electrical fire started and I was very lucky to get out alive. The fire department would not allow me back in the building because it was not safe. It is the most corrupt group of people who take every advantage to take the money from elderly people I have ever seen with a total disregard for the safety and care of their tenants. Maria Maxey is a serial liar. I have witnessed her changing the story on every level and every instance of any encounter with her. If you are looking for a good place to have your elderly relatives live...this is not the place. They have newer apartments called Monaco but it is the same people that mange it. Elderly abuse is so awful to watch and I hope I never have to see it again. I paid $1,150 For a deposit I know I will never see. They make you paint and even though you leave your broken down apartment as clean as it can possibly be they make excuses so you will not get it back.

My mil has lived here for fifteen years. It's great for seniors that can still live independently. Right behind chino city hall. Afew small groceries near by. The senior center is about 2 blocks away. The community is gated all the way around. A club house is in the center for group meetings and lounging. Laundry is on the side of club house. Nice place for independent seniors with mobility.

Last year I lived at the Monaco apts which are run by the same people as the serena apts. Those managers have a excuse for anything and everything so it's never their fault. We had a neighbor above us who was always making noise and waking us up. The management did absolutely nothing about it. I complained several times and that neighbor kept on with the slamming of cabinets and stomping on their floor which was my ceiling. Then the parking really sucks. I have never ever rented a place that tells you that you can only have one car parked on property. We rented a two bedroom and we both were handicapped. Do you think they would arrange for me to park close to my unit? NO , they told me to go park around the corner and walk to my place. WHAT KIND OF PLACE IS THIS They told my friend who also lives there that she can't buy a car because her place doesn't come with a parking stall. Now they think they can control if you have a car or not. DONT MOVE IN THIS PLACE, YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!! PLUS ITS NOT WORTH WHAT THEY CHARGE. The managers are snooty and think they are a warden or something. Oh but it's ok for them to park close to their office and take away parking for paying tenants. It's ok for them to have their kids live with them but have a fit if you have a visitor spend the night. They make sure they have parking for all their cars but not a paying tenant? That office staff needs to be revamped.

Lovely location and a very friendly staff. My mom lived there for ten plus years and loved it. Now my wife and i and i are thinking about making it our prime residents. Great place to live !
