My mom was there for about four weeks and she improved so much. Her hospital stay was lengthy, so we were hoping she recouped quickly. Staff was great and gave us updates when needed. Therapy department was also always attentive. Would recommend to my family if they ever need nursing home services.

My experience is my husband is in their care. I'm at the facility 3 to 4 times a week. I'm always received well by the nurses and staff. I feel like family. Days I don't come I call speaking with Ms. Brenda nurse in charge daytime for updates or night time nurse Mr.Noriel . They always have and take time to explain to me what going on with my husband. My husband is always been well groomed. We spend lot of time in the active room with games (bingo), music and movies. I thank each and everyone there that plays a part in care for my husband.

PIH Downey Hospital provided me with a list of care facilities that provide postoperative care and rehabilitation. Not going to lie after seeing some of the reviews I was very hesitant to place my mom in this facility. So I call to schedule a tour and from my initial conversation with the receptionist who was extremely helpful, to me touring the facility and speaking with staff and patients. I just knew Villa Elena would be the facility where mom would continue her journey to recovery. The facility is under new management and ownership and this place is nothing compared to what the reviews say. Facility is clean, smells great all around. Brenda the nurse is very knowledgeable and always willing to help. I have been extremely satisfied with the facility staff who go the extra mile to ensure my mother’s overall wellbeing. The rehabilitation team is top notch. Highly recommend Villa Elena to all my family and friends.

I have been here for five days. I had a very bad fall at a CVS resulting in a fracture of my right ankle. I was taken here for recovery and physical therapy in preparation for surgery. I am very disturbed by these reviews, since they corroberate my experiences here.

My mom was in there care. I really appreciated the constant updates. Almost daily calls regarding weight/diet/medications.
After my mom passed they let me sit with her as long as I needed. The nurses shared very kind stories of my mom. Her singing wasn't disturbing them (for some reason she was singing loudly) . The director nurse prayed with my mom nightly. (I didn't know that until she told me). I really appreciate everyone here that took care of my mom in her final month. It's not the Ritz Carlton of nursing homes but the caring staff made up for the older facility.
Also as I sat with my mom (she was deceased) I could hear the nurses interactions with fellow patients. They are hard, kind working people. I didn't see any issues like the negative posts.
