This was our first experience at a bed & breakfast. Jean Pace was a gracious host and just a really nice person. The house was very well appointed with period antiques and our room was absolutely beautiful. I am afraid that we have been spoiled and pampered. The room was very affordable. In fact, we had the whole house to ourselves. Mammoth Spring is a lovely town and the food at Fred's Fish is outstanding. We will return later this year. By the way, Jean fixes an excellent breakfast. We will certainly recommend the Roseland to our friends.

Roseland Inn is a warm welcoming house. We were very comfortable. The purpose of our trip was to celebrate our anniv together and get some quiet time. Our first night there we came back to the house after a horrible meal at Fred's Fish House. After returning to the B&B, around 6:30PM, the owner, Jean showed up. We thought it was nice to have a little visit. The visit lasted until 9:30PM. So much for a bottle of wine together. The next morning she brought us breakfast, and much to our surprise, she sat down to eat with us, as well as the day after that. We love B&B's and enjoy meeting people but we didn't expect to share our vacation with the owner. Price was right. If you like towels that are not old and thread bare, bring your own.

While my daughter and her husband were in Missouri, visiting from New York, we planned a road trip with our first night destination at the Roseland Bed & Breakfast in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas. This nicely restored, historical house is an excellent value at only $52 per night per room. It has four rooms, but we had the whole place to ourselves. The Inn Keeper, Mrs. Pace did an excellent job of restoring the house with original trim, doors, and decor. The rooms were adequate, although I would have preferred large beds - we had a queen. In the morning, Mrs. Pace made us a nice breakfast and ate with us, while filling us in on the history of the house, which was once owned by a man who not only owned the hardware store in Mammoth Springs, but he also served on the town council, the school board and was the town Undertaker. We can have the whole four bedroom house to ourselves, using every bedroom for a larger family gathering for just over $200 per night, which will make for an affordable weekend family trip to the area for canoeing the Spring River. I highly recommend it.

I've stayed at Roseland on several occasions, since Mrs. Pace brought the property back to nearly original condition. The area is excellent for a multiple of things, relaxation being one of those things that is easily experienced while staying at Roseland. In my multiple stays, never had a problem, Mrs. Pace is most attentive to those who stay here, (as most know, Mrs. Pace is currently the Mayor of Mammoth Springs and as such is most attentive to those who stay and or pass through). Great place where I stay as often as possible.

My father and I had to travel back to Missouri to see my grandmother. I was lucky to find this place on trip advisor because Ms. Pace does not advertise. Every room had its own simple spark. It was bought in 1989. Ms. Pace renovated this old treasure into a cross between Victorian and Shabby Chic décor of antiques and modern charm. We were the only guest because she does not rent to more than a few at a time. She had breakfast with us in the morning, before going to her duties as mayor of the little town and then we met her up at the convalescent hospital where she was advising a play put on by the school for the patients where my grandmother is staying at. This was a short and wonderful trip with Ms. Pace making it all the better.

We were traveling through the area and needed a quick place to stay, that was clean and comfortable. The house was beautiful and the owner was very hospitable and made us feel at ease. The downstairs was nicely laid out for visitors to feel comfortable and not crowded. If all rooms upstairs are reserved it might feel a little crowded upstairs but each room is very nice. I would stay here again.

Four couples and two children recently stayed at this location! ||My biggest complaint was at checkout! We were told it would be $60+tax per night per room! So when I checked out, the owner had added $30+tax per child per night! Which add up to $67 extra for each child. This proved frustrating since they slept on the floor of our room in sleeping bags and pillows provided by us, not the bed and breakfast! This charge was never mentioned by the owner when reserving and adding another $134 to the bill was steep in my opinion. My second complaint (but at least I did know this upfront) was there is only 1 bathroom with a shower and that proved to be a challenge with 10 people! Lastly, there are too many breakable things in every corner of the house! We immediately moved some of the breakable objects in fear of knocking them over!||||I did love the fact that there was plenty of room for our family and friends to hang out in! I really did enjoy our stay, but I would reconsider staying here again mainly over the extra cost!

The house is welcoming, the owner is nice and helpful, and the price is fairly reasonable. But if you want a TV in your room, or internet access, you won't find them here. Also, breakfast is brought in partially cooked and the eggs are cooked there in the microwave and the rest reheated in the microwave. There is no stove in the kitchen. Breakfast was served in the kitchen at a very small table for four and the owner eats breakfast with you. If you don't like to chat over breakfast, you might want to look elsewhere. There is one bathroom upstairs, but she only has one family at a time so it works, but the towels have seen better days. I'm sure this B&B would be fine for many people but sadly it just didn't work for us.
