We have had stayed at the beautiful Skipstone Residence three times. We have had the absolute BEST time with close family and friends. The residence is stunning, comfortable and plenty of space to enjoy inside and outside fun! We often eat outside under the beautiful trees and then sit around the firepit tasting the excellent Skipstone wine.

The entire team, starting with Patricia, make our stay personal and memorable. Waking up in the morning, sitting outside and having our coffee then meandering to the garden and chicken coop to get our fresh eggs is a personal favorite. Then simply soaking in the views and jumping in the pool!

If you are seeking an experience - whether like us to celebrate milestone birthdays, with your family and friends there is simply no place like this.

Our second time at the Residence at Skipstone - This place is an extraordinary experience. Plenty of room for 8 people, amazing residence with great views in a great setting.

Service was outstanding. They arranged everything from reservations at wineries, restaurants, chefs, & transportation. Their recommendations were wonderful and will definitely stay again on my next trip to the area.

The Skipstone Residence is a beautiful estate home in rural Sonoma County California, a gorgeous setting of rolling hills and vineyards. Ten of us (the limit) came to celebrate my husband’s birthday.and enjoyed a Skipstone wine tasting near the vines, beautiful wood burning fireplaces, a fully equipped kitchen (where we made breakfast daily), and lovely outdoor seating.

Patricia Smith, Estate Manager, Skipstone Wines, expertly helped us pre-plan the stay, selecting boutique wineries and excellent restaurants for our visit. We have beautiful memories of the sunsets and the gigantic trees, and the peace of Sonoma.

One word...stunning.

Five couples gathered at Skipstone to celebrate a milestone birthday. We left as a more closely connected group of friends as a result of this property.

The rooms were very comfortable each with an in room bath. The master was simply over the top...check out the photos on the website which don't do it justice.

The living spaces, of which there are many, we so conducive to relaxing and bonding with each other. Smaller, more intimate, grand with cavernous ceilings or playful with billiards...just move around the house to find your preference.

The views were spectacular. The gardens and vineyards were a wonderful place to walk and the wine selection is world class.
We had a chef come by a couple of nights and we had the most wonderful experience laughing, crying and enjoying the food and wine. Couldn't have been better.

Then there is the hospitality team. Patricia helped me plan the most wonderful tastings, hikes, restaurants and shopping. There were no misses...all were perfect. She saved me hours of planning effort.

The GM, Brian, was a true delight. He made sure we had everything we needed and was a joy to talk with. His knowledge of wine and the wine business was fantastic.

The wine maker, Laura, spent time with us sharing her passion for her craft. We left our conversation knowing and appreciating her wine so much more than when we first arrived.

I went for a jog on the property and all of the vineyard crew was super nice and welcoming of me into their work environment.

And of course...don't forget to schedule a Skipstone tasting while you're there.

Bottom line...this place is special. The Diner family created a wonderful spot on the planet. We'll be back.
