This place is nice (but expensive) and the rooms are stylish but with little attention to detail. For example, the window curtains do not open all the way, the shower toiletries are at knee level, the lighting is not great, and there are no instructions for the espresso machine. The pool area is nice, but for some reason the pool was closed (no explanation given). And, the pool area cries out for a hot tub, but when I brought this up with management their response was dismissive, not offering an explanation, and...wait for it....even asking me if I was a hot tub salesman (I'm not.) True story! There are other properties in the Santa Ynez Valley that have more amenities and attention to detail, and are not as expensive

What an experience! From the food to the rooms, everything is first class. The atmosphere is relaxing and adds to the whole experience. The pool is a welcoming oasis. The wine cellar is to die for. I would highly recommend the Inn at Zaca Creek for your event or just a romantic getaway. I'll definitely have to spend more time at the restaurant and bar on my next visit.

Paid $1500 + for two nights Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Falls and Tavern shut, no staffing due to holiday. Packed breakfast necessities as assumed incorrectly room would have microwave available since we anticipated closed restaurants in Solvang due to holiday. NOT! Coffee maker made great coffee after we got online twice to find instructions on non-intuitive steps necessary for pod coffee maker. Three wooden hangars, one smal towel rack and hook in bathroom. Fifteen inch crotch spread to climb into shower cave ( no place to keep towel dry while showering except 15 inch shower ledge that caught shower spray). Balky room air conditioner/heater.||Somebody started with a good idea BUT stopped before room was completed as no place to put clothes/ necessities except on back of couch ( tiny little thing) or on chairs. The introductory bottle of wine was lovely when we drank it up the road in Carmel (where there were towel racks and a closet with 12 wooden hangars).

It's important to review the webpage and photos for this most unusual place. If you are used to white walls over drywall with "hotel quality" framed prints everywhere, this would not be the place for you. Fortunately, the stone floor to ceiling walls, massive wood beams and classic French antique pattern stone flooring took us back to European styling. The room was outfitted with wonderful amenities including Turkish robes and towels, shaving and dental fixings along with the other expected items. The bed and bedding were beautiful as well. I would opt, next time, for a room with a small desk and give up the extra bed and walk-in shower. ||I understood the Inn was adjacent to the 101 and was concerned about noise. We were told the room was quite insulated and it would not be a problem. It was not. The pool and cabana were lovely as was the landscaping throughout. But, a daily dusting would have been good as the area was quite windy with debris on the furniture. The Tavern Restaurant and Bar was an added treat. The food, drinks and service were excellent. All around, a lovely stay and definitely looking forward to returning.

My wife and I chose to stay at the Inn at Zaca Creek for our anniversary trip this year. The room was excellent! Plenty of space. Clean. Fun ambiance.
The location worked out very well for us as we visited local 'attractions' from restaurants, wineries, Gardens/museums, etc.
It may not be for everyone, but as a 'home base' for visiting the area, this is an excellent option for the price.

I cannot say enough about how great our experience was at Zaca! There is so much thought and detail put in the rooms from the Nespresso machines to the super comfy beds. Location is amazing ! Minutes away from Solvang and from the Hitching Post (where the film “Sideway’s” was filmed)! The steak was so phenomenal we ordered it every time. Haven’t had a better one to date. The cherry on top is all the beautiful landscaping. So serene and beautiful! I hope to be back soon…

Best place we have ever stayed in the Santa Ynez area. Only six rooms in this slightly off center location. The room was huge, with every possible amenity. Very warm welcome to the Inn. Beautiful swimming pool. The restaurant is the type of place you would expect to have to reserve three months in advance. An eclectic, smaller menu, but creative choices, and from what we could tell, all delicious. The restaurant is quite honestly, spectacular, with extremely professional but warm and caring service. Cannot recommend this gem of a hotel highly enough.
