No sabia donde quedarme 2 noches en San Francisco y encontre este lugar muy bien ubicado en el area de Castro St; con una perfecta ubicación y la verdad que al llegar alli que encanto el lugar, el hotel cuenta con cuartos muy confortables y limpios. El checking fue muy rapido y recivi de forma inmediata confirmacion de ingreso al hotel. Este lugar lleno por completo mis expectativas y lo recomiendo al 100%. Espero volver a visitar este lugar!!

The shower was not fully enclosed. Water went everywhere and showering was cold even though the hot water was fine.

The faucet was maybe 3 inches above the sink basin, so it was difficult to get my hands under it to wash.

The pillows had no firmness at all and were very uncomfortable.

The bed was not easy to get in and out of but was comfortable.

The level of quiet in the room was impressive. Even on Friday and Saturday night it was quiet enough to sleep.

The room itself was nice, good decor, clean, comfortable. Could have used a small microwave.

Security was very good and easy to deal with. A small problem with locking the patio door was quickly resolved via text.

The downstairs bar is great, has friendly service and a relaxing, quiet vibe.

The location is fantastic, close to most Castro points of interest.

The Hotel Castro is a wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of the Castro in SF. It's in a super walkable area and accessible to public transportation. In addition to the room being very clean, albeit small (that's SF for you), the bed is the most comfortable I've ever experienced, including my own bed at home. The check-in and check-out process is super easy and is done from your phone, and you use a code to get into the building, up the lift, and into the room so you don't have to worry about losing a physical card. Customer service was also really helpful - an actual human picks up the phone. Loved my time there and would highly recommend The Hotel Castro!

Loved this hotel. Perfect location for everything I wanted, very comfy and cozy, LOVED my king-sized bed. This was the perfect spot for a solo traveler, I definitely see myself staying here again! Being in the Castro, this hotel emphasized and highlighted the culture that makes this neighborhood. Especially loved the views from the Nest!

Great and convenient location, right in the heart of Castro. Close to bars, restaurants and public transport. Rooms are on the smaller side, but I was very aware of that and I was a solo traveller. If there were two of us might get too claustrophobic. Service is on point! Very responsive and helpful! Definitely will stay again!

Excellent place to stay. The room was small, so fair warning. But it was very cute and very well decorated. This isn’t a typical hotel with room service, cleaning, towels, etc. in fact there is no front desk. It felt more like an Air BNB experience. So again fair warning. The location is 100% perfect - right in the heart of the Castro district. I would definitely stay here again.

From the minute, we stepped into the room until we left the next day, everything went so well. The room smelled so clean and the view was incredible. Right in the middle of Castro, easy walk within half a block to two blocks with all kinds of food and entertainment. Communication via text were extremely easy entrance to room. Great nespresso in the room for in the morning. Bed was so very comfortable. Felt very safe. We will definitely be back!!

I'm sure it is as clean and comfortable as advertised, however I will not be staying there because the virtual check-in process requires uploading a driver's license and uses facial recognition to verify your identity. I'm not super paranoid about that stuff, but it felt a little invasive to have to provide facial imaging to some random hotel while there are plenty of other options in the neighborhood that don't require it. When i asked to cancel my reservation I was told that it was outside the 24 hour cancellation period so no refund was possible. They explained that the virtual check-in process is described in the terms and conditions, which is not something I usually read when booking a hotel room. Just found the whole process a little creepy.
