Quiet, clean, private, in the main area, close to everything. After booking, you are given key code access to the main entrance, and a key code to the room that you will be staying in, you will be automatically checked in and your key code will start working at 3pm on the day of your booking. No need to be in contact with hotel personnel. The first two rooms have grand views of the beachfront and the remaining six rooms are situated on either side of a hallway leading up to the patio area. There is a small shared kitchenette with a refrigerator and a microwave for the guests as well. They offer towel service as needed. Apple TV in rooms require you to sign in if you want to watch anything. Only thing is that there was not a full length mirror in the room, which I think is a very basic thing to have for a hotel room.

Very convenient, beach front. Accessible being keyless!!!! The rooms and hallways are clean. They have a kitchenette with fridge and microwave in the common area. I am definitely booking here if ever I come back at Catalina Island!

Amazing experience here! We are so thankful we booked a room at the Edgewater. We came to Catalina island for our first wedding anniversary and we loved every minute of our stay. The view from our room was amazing. Absolutely perfect location, right on the beach.

Spent one night here with my two adult children. Brittney the proprietor was gracious and helpful with our luggage. The hotel was spotless clean and fresh from a recent remodel. Night sleep was quite and restful

Quaint rooms that are right along the main boardwalk of Avalon. The AC worked well as did the sound proofing in the room. It was quiet and comfortable inside the room.

Wonderful 5 night family stay in suite one overlooking the water. We opened the windows to the balcony as much as we could to catch the ocean breeze and to listen to the waves. It was our first trip to Catalina Island and the balcony was the highlight of our trip. It didn’t get too noisy from the restaurants and crowds below, and we could people watch as much as we wanted! Please see the sunrise photos from the balcony and there was even a sea lion one afternoon on the beach across from the hotel! Barbara and Beth were wonderful in terms of answering questions before our trip and then assisting with things once we arrived. Finally, the Vons supermarket was about two blocks away so we could pick up snacks/drinks and keep them in the room’s mini fridge. It was SO convenient. Thank you Barbara and Beth! Looking forward to returning at some point.

We just spent two wonderful days at the Edgewater Hotel. This perfectly located boutique hotel has been newly renovated, and it shows. The baths and rooms are clean and nicely decorated, the hallway is lined with fun historic pictures of Catalina, there is a nice kitchen for guests, and two lounge areas. After a snafu with our shower, our incredibly gracious host pulled out the key to one of the suites, and without hesitation told us to move and enjoy! Brittani is an incredible, friendly host, and hails from a family that has lived on the island for more than 100 years. She had great tips for things to do, places to eat, even things on menus. It was a fabulous, memorable stay!

This was our first time to Catalina Island and we are glad that we picked the Edgewater. We arrived early and our room was ready and waiting. Beth and Barb were nothing but helpful. |We were in room 1 and this was a great room. We had a queen bed, a couch and a desk. The best feature in the room was the covered balcony. This had a small table, chairs, sink, and a small fridge. You could sit there and watch all the people and listen to the surf.This was the best feature of the room. We loved just sitting there. Each night, we could fall asleep to the sound of the waves. |This hotel is very rustic and just a great way to enjoy all that Catalina has to offer. We would stay here again. We love the charm of this hotel. We would highly recommend this property.
