Truly one of the most serene and calming places I've ever stayed. The BayView room was very comfortable and the view through the windows was amazing. I saw baby deer multiple times and the stars at night were so magical. Super close and accessible to the center of town as well! I hope to stay here again and couldn't recommend it more.

This is probably close to our 10th time staying at the Black Heron Inn. It is our go to place every time we stay overnight in Pt. Reyes. As always, our two night stay in the Ridgewood Room was great. The room is lovely. The view is fantastic. And the location cannot be beat. We come to Pt. Reyes pretty much every year and we will continue to stay at the Black Heron Inn as long as we can.

We stayed two nights at this rustic but well-kept property. We opted for the more expensive Grand View Suite and thought it was good value for the spacious accommodations and the grand view, with is the same view shown in their promotional materials. We enjoyed the view, the changing light ,and the sounds & sights of birds from the deck during leisurely morning coffee and evening cocktails. It's a great location on the far edge of a quiet and beautiful neighborhood away from Hwy 1 and overlooking the open space between the neighborhood and the southern end of Tomales Bay. We enjoyed the 1.4 mile walk to town for dinner in town through the quiet and beautiful neighborhood.

We have stayed at each of the Black Heron Heron three lodgings several times during the last 5 years. The rooms are reasonably priced, comfortable, well-equipped and always clean. The Black Heron is a mile or so from the town of Pt. Reyes Station and it's stores and restaurants. There is a reason that each lodging has the word "view" in it's name. The direct view over the fields towards Tomales Bay and the hills of Point Reyes National Park is WONDERFUL! We love our time in the room looking at that view. Our stays here are always relaxing, and we will return again and again.

The inn is located on a beautiful secluded spot overlooking Tomales Bay and the surrounding wetlands and hills. It's 30 minute walk to the restaurants and shops of Point Reyes Station, though we elected to drive to save our walking for the trails on Point Reyes National Seashore.

My spouse and I stayed here for a long weekend in April 2024 and I'm hoping to have the opportunity to stay there again within a year.||The hosts responded quickly when I had a few questions ahead of our arrival, and excellent driving directions were provided as well. The inn is in a really beautiful location with a gorgeous peaceful view, and it is extremely quiet, private, and comfortable.||I was very happy to have the kitchenette supplies, as this made our early mornings go without a hitch (we were there for some scheduled events).||I think I read a few reviews that called out furniture or decor? I personally found everything to be in good shape, comfortable, and homey (in a good, personable way). Although it is true that some parts of the inn show some wear because the climate can be a little harsh (damp, salty), the room was spotless.||I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I can't wait to return next year.

We LOVED it. It is in a very peaceful and gorgeous location, within easy reach of restaurants and local attractions. So much wildlife to observe! Everything went smoothly with booking and check in. We had a magical time and are looking forward to the next time.

We had the most wonderful stay at Black Heron Inn! We loved the incredible views from the room and deck, the warm wood interior and furniture, the comfy recliner chairs, and the perfect location. We walked into Pt. Reyes Station to get food at the Palace Market, and the room has a full set of dishes. You won’t want to leave the room! We can’t wait to come back.
