I stayed at this place a few times because they are pet friendly. It’s not perfect but it’s ok. Acceptable because the location is good. I don’t remember the name but one lady was fantastic (not Ann who often makes mistakes or Amber who shouldn’t face clients at all). Amber is the manager, she loves talking about her long term employment with this hotel, she acts like she is a god of this place. Which is fine, everyone has his/her way of self-validation. The problem is the way she talks. In general, she is ok. She doesn’t have to love her clients but given that she faces clients, she must be professional.
I planned to visit Perris in December. I made a reservation over the phone. I was told “all set, see you”. My plans have changed and I had to cancel. When I called I was told there was no reservation under my name. Well, fine.
I plan to visit Perris in February. I made a reservation for certain dates due to specific event. When my event attendance was confirmed, I called second time to double check the reservation was in place. Amber was the one who picked up the phone. She said there was no reservation under my name. She took my info once again, confirmed she remembered me and asked whether I was coming with my pup again. I then heard a famous “all set, see you”.
Today I started to feel anxious about my February trip and a history of reservations that were placed via phone call and that were not in the system afterwards. I called and talked to Amber again. Either she had a bad day or she hates her job but she was abusive, rude, incompetent and aggressive. I hope the phone calls are recorded. Not only she said there was no reservation, she said she talks to many people and she doesn’t remember everyone (which is fine). She mocked me a few times and called me rude when I simply tried to understand what was going on. I am not a hotel employee, I have no access to hotel system and I don’t know how it works. I tried to defend myself. Apparently, the term “hotel employee” did hurt her. Well, Maybe she is said she doesn’t have another professional title, I don’t know what else to think and how to explain her behaviour. In my opinion, the hotel employee is as respectful and hardworking person as any other person with any title. …. Anyway, Amber didn’t like my comment that there must be a mistake made by her/hotel. She attacked with questions whether I ever got an email confirmation. Well, no email confirmation was sent; I don’t remember anyone asked for an email address. Maybe yes, I don’t recall, I don’t take reservations over the phone, I have no way to know how their system works. In ideal world, given that I stayed with them a few times, they probably have that info. She said “no email, no confirmation and reservation”. Then, I wonder, why did you accept the reservation over the phone and confirmed it was all set? I kept trying to understand what was going on and why she was so mad, she raised her voice and said I had to answer her direct questions (does she work as an officer/commander somewhere else sometimes?). She said if I wanted to stay there and be accepted (basically not banned) I had to be nice and answer her questions instead of asking mine. When I told her twice that my email was “hotmail.com” she asked whether it was “yahoo.com”. She kept saying I was rude even though I barely could speak and understand what was going on. She then, in a fake way, thanked me for a call and hanged up. Like I wasn’t there. I am not a client. I am nobody and I am the one who truly needs to stay at this place. Bizarre.
Amber shouldn’t be working there. Not sure whether its safe to go there with or without a child or pet when the employee is so aggressive and unstable. Very disappointed. I didn’t expect this from this place and from her. Apparently, the below comment that she is nice with males only is a real fact. I am glad I am not the only one who thinks she is mega rude and mean.
