DO NOT STAY HERE. The Spirit of Sofia is nothing like its listing—it’s a total scam with absurd fees, neglected amenities, and no on-site service. You’re paying absorbent fees for a run-down, grungy motel-like stay.

Hidden Fees & Price Gouging:

Base rate: $362 – fair enough, until they start piling on the nonsense.

Cleaning fee: $108.60 – yet the place is FILTHY with zero turn-down service.

Booking fee: $47.06 – an unnecessary charge with no justification after booking online. There is not even an attendant on site

Palm Springs taxes & fees: Another $50+ tacked on.

The deposit for 2 nights was higher than the booking itself!!

No Service, No Standards:

No on-site attendant. It’s completely self-check-in, so if something goes wrong, good luck.

Filthy, neglected amenities. The steam room and hot tub are disgusting—clearly not maintained and honestly unusable.

The entire property is run-down. Worn-out vibes and grungy decor, and a feeling that screams “no one cares.”

For the fees they charge, this place should be pristine. Instead, it’s an overpriced dump that relies on misleading photos and excessive fees. Avoid at all costs. There are far better places in Palm Springs—do NOT waste your money here.

My recent stay at the Spirit of Sofia Resort in Palm Springs was nothing short of amazing. This resort offers the flexibility to rent out the entire villa for a private getaway with friends or just a single room for a more intimate experience. The villa is stunning, with luxurious amenities and beautifully designed spaces that made our stay incredibly comfortable.

The weather in Palm Springs was perfect, enhancing our enjoyment of the resort's gorgeous outdoor areas. Whether lounging by the pool or enjoying the tranquil gardens, the setting was ideal. The location is also fantastic, conveniently close to local foodie spots while providing a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Spirit of Sofia Resort and can't wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the best of Palm Springs!

My wife and I had an excellent stay at Spirit of Sofia. The room was clean and comforting. I really enjoyed the heated pool, hot tub, steam room and BBQ area. The zebra and unicorn pool floaties were a nice touch. The room was clean and well maintained. The linens and towels were soft. Restaurants, nightlife and hiking are a short drive away. I would definitely stay here again.

Michael was an exceptional host and his Spirit of Sophia was the ideal location for our 18 person group. The property is exactly as described. Each of the bungalows was well air conditioned and had great linens, decor and amenities. The pool was so fun too as was the outdoor lounge space. We loved how the rooms opened up to the pool area. We really appreciated that the suite with three bedrooms had a great indoor lounge area where we fit comfortably when we had to pull the group inside. We had an amazing time in late July! Thanks for having us Michael we look forward to returning

This place is so cute and the rooms are decked out in trendy decor. It's pretty centrally located to the downtown area. We spent the entire day in the pool!

My experience at Spirit of Sofia exceeded my expectations. Staying there was so peaceful but at the same time so fun. The rooms are so beautiful & unique, bed was so comfortable. I loved that the property has two pools, sauna, jacuzzi and so many little spots to hang out with friends or family. Also, I love walking around and discovering cute spots. The entire place is so photogenic like places you see on Pinterest. This is definitely a place you come back to over & over. I see you soon Spirit of Sofia. 🍃💛

Staying at this place was awesome, check in was smooth. During our stay my wife and I made friends with a couple which was cool. I love that we can get out of our room and take a dip in the pool without the hassle of walking to the pool area with our belongings. My wife and i loved that there weren't any kids around which made the place better because it was peaceful. Great place to relax and chill by the pool. We definitely book again for sure.
