My Mom has been at Shearwater for over 3 years and she is well taken care of. She enjoys the friends she's made there and she likes the staff. It's like a family. There are workers who have worked there a long time and it's a smaller, intimate facility, which is great. During the pandemic, the workers have done what they could to make the lock down easier on the residents and families. My Mom is doing great and I am very thankful she is in the hands of caring people.

Wonderful care home!! My mother-in-law has been here for almost 2 years now and I can not believe how much her health has improved both mentally and physically. The room and common areas are always spotless and the caregivers are caring and professional. This was the best decision we could have made when choosing a facility to care for our mom!!

Nothing but great things to say about Shearwater!! From the day my father arrived to the day of his passing, everyone there was nothing but gracious and helpful. Cannot thank the entire staff enough for everything they did for my dad as well as the rest of our family. The beauty of Shearwater is the family atmosphere they nurture and encourage. Shearwater Residence was a blessing in every way. The administrative staff was efficient, kind, supportive, and flexible. The room they gave my husband was quiet and his view was a wooden deck, fence, and the branches from a thick grove of redwood trees just over the fence. It was perfect for the well-traveled man whose favorite place on earth was Pinecrest Lake in the Stanislaus National Forest! The caregiving staff was equally kind, intuitive to his needs, quickly responsive, and caring in both a professional and humane way. They accommodated the children who came from out of state, even allowing the travel van of the daughter from Washington to park in the back of the Shearwater lot during the week of Allen's residence there. Shearwater's set-up with the surrounding deck allowed for easy private access to his room at any time day or night without needing to enter the building's central meeting space or even see anyone else in residence, a blessing during COVID. The food was well-prepared and healthy. I am so grateful that Maureen Simmons, a Certified Senior Advisor, lead me to Shearwater for the final week of Allen's life. It was the right place at the right time for our family.

My grandfather lives here, and every time I stop by to visit, they have activities going on. It is a super cozy environment and is kept very clean. This place is amazing, would definitely recommend for anyone searching for a Senior Living home.
