Definitely don't recommend this place. First walked in smelled like cigarette smoke. Very strong smell. The door wouldn't close unless you kicked it or put your whole body into it.There were holes in the bathtub wall and some sort of dark spots on the bathtub. Everything in the bathroom was yellow i'm guessing from the smoking. We paid for a king size bed... the room came with a king sized frame but a queen size mattress. Also the sheets had hairs and pubes on it. There was no chain for the door also. And the day that we were suppose to leave the owner/manager knocked at the door multiple times (we were already under the impression we had to be out by a later time) and he told us "no you get out now" so while we were trying to get our stuff together they cut the power. I don't know how they expect us to get our stuff together in the dark. Awful experience. Over priced for the quality of the room.

For someone in need of a "basic" room to Stay the night, I don't think you can beat the Scottish Inns. Rooms have all the necessities, clean, and comfortable. No, there's no "free" (baked into the price of your room) Breakfast, grandiose lobbies filled with furniture no one ever sits on, mints on your pillow, and what other nonsense that makes even "economy" rooms so expensive these days.

I felt secure and didn't feel like the room was gross or anything. Did it have extra soap/shampoo/every toiletry conceivable "just in case" you forgot something? No! But, that's ok...stocking rooms with that stuff adds costs and I usually plan/pack well for my travels. If I do forget something, there's always a Wal-Mart nearby. Location was a little away from what I was doing in town, but then again, there were really NO places to stay close to where I was going, so I can't even ding them too much for that.

People giving this place a low rating...I don't know what you are expecting for a Place that's charging roughly HALF the price of the next cheapest place in town?!? I *wish* more towns like Jonesboro had a similar place to stay as the Scottish Inns!

My Mom has been in the hospital for a little over a week now. I stayed at a different hotel originally that for all intense purposes should have been a better place than this one NOPE! It might be an old school hotel BUT it’s clean, comfy beds, no bugs, and priced right..

This was from 2021-No pool no mini golf no breakfast ask about any of that and they scream at you and call you names in other languages. I witnessed that they rent rooms by the hour as well 7 people rented the same room back to back and with the same female.

2023- possibly new owners pleasant enough rooms WAY better less roaches there were so many before I doubt they can ever get rid of them entirely. You had better be ready to pay or be out period no wake up call allowed. Rude and will stand at your door saying hurry u they don't care if they are blocking your way. Rude but not as hateful as the previous ones

I have been here at the scottish inn for almost 3 months now. It's quite, very clean, the people are awesome that run this place. NO BUGS AT ALL! It's a half mile from anything you could want or need. Just an all around great place cheap prices. A great experience! Recommend for anyone for a night or long term.
