All in all we enjoyed our stay at Royal Sun Palm Springs. The location made it easy to get around the Palm Springs area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The entire property is well maintained and CLEAN. Based on their website, we were expecting more upscale amenities, but our room had what we needed and was quiet. Even though we faced the pool area, the noise was muted. They have good pool-side food. You have to ask someone about the restaurant though, such as where it is (hidden), when it opens, and menu. Given it seems to be at the top of their amenities list you'd think they would call attention to it and post the menu.

Total gem! The rooms are super cute, functional, and stylish. Beds are comfortable. Has a stylish hotel/chic vibe. Elevated decor. Stunning natural scenery surrounds. The food is healthy and delicious. The staff is super nice. Great value!

We had a great stay for Christmas at the Royal Sun!

Staff were incredibly friendly, and helped us with every question we had, especially Savannah at the pool bar who was a joy! We brought our two dogs who were welcomed so well, the manager gave us treats poolside for them and whilst they came for breakfast with us in their doggy stroller, they were welcomed too.

The hotel was across the road from the botanical gardens which was super convenient and a short drive from downtown. The room its self was great, retro but modern, super stylish and really clean.

Grateful for a wonderful stay and we will be returning!

My girlfriend and I stayed at Royal Sun while I was completing in a nearby triathlon. We had a great stay and would recommend Royal Sun to any folks visiting Palm Springs!

Royal Sun is conveniently located within a few minutes’ drive of downtown Palm Springs, and within walking distance of some of the best bars in the area. Being outside of the heart of downtown was actually quite nice, as it was quiet and allowed for proper rest!

The rooms were clean and tidy, with responsive temperature control and great amenities.

What really makes Royal Sun stand out, however, is the kindness of the staff. During our stay, there were some electrical problems (outside the control of the hotel itself), and this caused some key fobs to malfunction. But the staff were responsive, calm, and extremely accommodating, quickly working with guests to get them quickly into their rooms. They were always friendly in the morning, and greeted us with kindness and respect throughout our stay.

Wow! This property has it all- mid-century modern charm, impeccable service, and a tranquil escape within the desert. The rooms are spacious and thoughtfully appointed, with a balance of modern luxuries and retro charm.

Located at the edge of the city center, this property feels secluded yet effortlessly social. I had some of the best tacos in town at the poolside bar—Chicken Al Pastor with house-made pineapple salsa. Savannah at the bar was incredible and I can say the same about every single encounter with staff!

Royal Sun Palm Springs nailed it. My family (including two little ones) had an incredible stay here. The staff? Next level. Robert took care of us at the restaurant and pool like we were VIPs, and the two bartenders by the pool were friendly, fun, and on point. Personalized service like this is a rare find.

The hotel’s vibe is spot-on—stylish, fresh, and very Palm Springs. Its location couldn’t be better: right near the stunning Moorten Botanical Garden, the Palm Canyon trails for some epic hikes, and just five minutes down S. Palm Canyon Drive to all the downtown action.

Everything was immaculate—from the rooms to the pool to the restaurant. For a relatively new spot, they’ve got it dialed in.

Would I come back? In a heartbeat. Would I recommend it? Absolutely.

Had a great stay. Room was good (coffee maker was broken and tv needs streaming service to use were only complaints) with very nice bed. Try for one poolside and walk out to the fun pool. Get a cabana, spend a hundred and it’s free or just pay the difference. Get drinks and lunch/snacks with good service.
Hotel is south of downtown and Ubers take 10 minutes to get to you and ten to your downtown destination (not based on distance but the city build means you can’t get anywhere fast) but the savings is worth it. Not a big deal. There’s a little liquor store a block north to get water and snacks to have in the room.

We stayed one night at the Royal Sun and were treated so well we came back 2 other times to enjoy the bar and restaurant. Rooms were well appointed, food/cocktails delicious, but best of all: the staff was amazing! Will and Robert are rock stars!
