Refugio was a dream for me from start to finish. Brigit and Casey are the coolest couple, and made sure we had everything we needed. They were kind enough to let us host our rehearsal dinner here, and then my husbands family stayed in the suites through the weekend. I was honestly jealous, because the property was so beautiful, I wanted to stay there myself!
We got our rehearsal dinner catered by Hola Paella, a caterer that was quickly approved by Brigit, and they were lovely and very affordable.
We had our two pups with us, and they loved being in nature, and actually met a cow for the first time! #citydogs
The rehearsal dinner was beautiful, Brigit and Casey are accessible but not intrusive, and the space was amazing. Thank you both for the best weekend!!!

Wow! What a great stay we had at this beautiful property in Paso Robles! We stayed during the Labor Day holiday in 2021. The location was excellent with respect to downtown and the vineyards and wineries. You are also just 30-45 minutes from a coastal adventure as well. We absolutely loved the professional kitchen! Never have we felt so comfortable cooking for ourselves in the evenings while opening up the kitchen to the outside world with the large glass accordion doors on the south side of the kitchen! The 2 attached suites were perfect for our group of 4 (2 couples). They were very well equipped and each had their own private deck! The privacy of the suites were a perfect complement to our time together with great wine and drinks as well as wonderful food at this amazing property! Our hosts were very gracious and accommodating. Strongly consider this property if you are looking to spend a few days or maybe a few weeks in Paso!!

What a glorious, long weekend we spent at Refugio! This was a mini family reunion for us; each couple enjoyed our own luxurious, private suite, while the two boys settled into the sitting room off the kitchen. And what a kitchen it was, with glorious views, expansive center island, eight burners, large refrigerator, ovens, an efficient outdoor grill, and dual dishwashers, which are a blessing when you've created a feast for family and friends. The property is a delight to explore, with beautiful (yes beautiful) cows next door, a sweet tummy-rub-loving dog in the adjacent lot, and playful ground squirrels for endless entertainment. We especially delighted in the comfortable Adirondack chairs on the broad patio facing the expanse of the property, with umbrellas to shade the welcome sun. Suites and kitchen provide every amenity possible, and it's clear that the lovely owners, Brigit and Casey, put their hearts and souls into imagining and creating this peaceful space. We will look forward to returning again and again.

This is the second time we've stayed in this vacation home and it's fantastic, beautiful, spacious and on a large property which we very much enjoyed. The hosts are lovely and have provided everything anyone could need. It has two primary suites and an amazing kitchen in the middle which is certainly worthy of dining in. The location is close to anything in Paso, whether by bike or car, and we will definitely return!

We just got back back from a great weekend at Refugio. Our room was very comfortable and really well decorated. It's quiet, in a very scenic area and it's still close to the action. And, in Paso Robles, the action is in the best wines to be found in the state of California. At Refugio, you're close to great wineries. But, the fine folks at Refugio also have their own wine made for their label, which is provided for their guests. ||||Brigit and Casey (who will be your hosts) have a great story. Brigit has written dozens of wonderful cookbooks. The most recent is The New Wine Country Cookbook. I checked it out in our room. I'm a decent cook, but I saw some recipes in that book that I have to have, so I will be ordering a copy.||||Oh, dId I tell you that Casey has to be the "Third Most Intereating Man in the World"? When you have the time (make the time), check out the youtube channel for PasoWineMan. You won't regret it.||||We only heard about Refugio because of an event being held here. The event was great, partly because of the site support. But, now that we have experienced Refugio, I'm sure we'll be back.||||The bottom line is that the rooms are super comfortable, the beds will not keep you awake at night, and you'really really close to some great wineries.

Refugio was the perfect spot for our girls trip to Paso Robles. Brigit and Casey are warm and welcoming hosts. Refugio is gorgeous and well appointed. The kitchen is great for gourmet cooks. We had a private catered dinner prepared for us by Christie that was outstanding. I highly recommend Refugio! Thank you Brigit, Casey, and Christie!

Refugio was absolutely beautiful! Very clean and great location. It is a quiet sanctuary where you can relax and enjoy wine country (and the friendly goats next door). Our family of 5 had plenty of room utilizing the whole house. Would definitely return! Thank you Brigit and Casey!

Casey and Brigit were amazing hosts to a private dining event held at Refugio over Labor Day weekend, 2019. Dining under a 250-year-old oak tree ablaze with patio lights on the most delicious food, prepared by Brigit was an experience not to be forgotten.
