I recently just moved to Homer and it was not easy finding somewhere to live for the next 6 months. Location? Pricing? Water? The Red Door is perfect for Temporary Housing (6 months - 3 yrs) everything included w/ 5G WiFi. What sold me was its location, on main st. 5 min walk to anywhere. Down at the bottom of the hill is the beach. I've lived here for 3 months so far and from what ive seen, no loud noises, no drama, it's usually pretty quiet. if you ever need anything, the response is quick. Seasoned Owner, humble, nice, would give you the shirt of his back. I have nothing negative to say, I'm very happy living here.

We were curious how the “bunk house” would be but the Red Door Lodge/ bunkhouse was great! There were plenty of bathrooms, the kitchen had what we needed and was clean. It was cozy and affordable …we each had a private bunk nestled in a wooden cove in the big space. The laundry-mat nextdoor came in super handy. The fishing trip for the boys in our group was awesome- they had a fantastic time and caught max halibut with Captain Bob. We girls- we had a fun time visiting Halibut Cove on a little sight seeing tour, walking the spit and eating at Fat Olives pizzeria! Homer was artsy and cool! Overall one of my top experiences in Alaska!

This place is just perfect. The room was very comfortable, clean, and impeccably curated. Hotel/Lodge staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. I did not rent a car due to the national shortage but was easy walking distance to many desirable places including restaurants, the beach, coffee shops, and the grocery store. I can only offer my highest recommendation to stay at the Red Door Lodge! Special shout out to the marvelous Micaelas (front desk) and Bob (owner) and all staff. You made my trip to Alaska so memorable! Keep up the great work!

We love coming here to do our laundry. We get off work too late in the day and it's nice having a very clean and quiet option. Thank you all so much. We love hanging out with the cats too!! P.S what are the kitties names?

When I first pulled up I was not sure as from the outside place looked OK at best, then once inside the main office it is scary as it is connected to a laundry place. The owner Bob was really nice and once inside the room I felt much better as it was nice and really clean and had every thing needed. This is a good place to stop for a night or two. Because how nice the owner is and clean inside I wish I could give it more stars. For the price it's a good place.

We didn’t stay at the lodge, but used their Red Door Laundry facilities. The service was excellent, brand new machines and very clean inside. I had three different ladies helping me:). Fairly priced and several large loads were done in no time! I would highly recommend!

Great little laundry n showers! Open 24 hours, the place was clean, machines worked, signage was very helpful and the shower was awesome. We got totally rained out in our tent and every stitch of fabric was soaked. We tossed some things in the wash and others in the dryer while we jumped in the shower. Great stop and we were very thankful.
