Dona and Scott are wonderful, generous hosts and the setting could not be more beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Dona's gardens are an herbalist's dream. The guest house is full of a wonderful selection of books and everything else you could think of or need is included. It is very cozy and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The views and the area are amazing. It is a great place to stay and the price is so reasonable. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a stay in southern CA.

This was our 1st stay at this Romantic hideaway. We both love the outdoors and this place provided a wonderful view and a great way to listen to the rain. There was a good collection of books and movies we could have easily spent a week there and never left the Room. This was the perfect setting for me to propose to the love of my life. She accepted and we can't wait to go back. Our hostess made our stay Warm and inviting . This place is highly recommended to those that have romance in their heart..

This was a surprise anniversary getaway, planned by my boyfriend. We really haven't been able to spend much time together because of our schedules and he wanted to make sure that I had a peaceful, low key adventure. Boy, did he do his research well! This place is amazing. To think I almost didn't make it due to a family issue. We were greeted by Donna and Scott right away. They were very understanding and even asked how my mom was doing. Talk about great service, Donna and Scott provided more than service. They were genuinely sincere and caring. You are the only guests and once they go inside their home you never see them and pretty much leave you alone, which means the deck and the pool are all yours. The guest house is quaint and cozy with a single bedroom, 1/2 kitchen/ 1/2 bathroom, and a cozy living room filled with books, movies, games a TV and air conditioner. I fell in love with this place instantly...My only regret was that we only stayed one night. There are so many things to do in the area; Hiking and biking. The continental breakfast was great and satisfying. This bed & breakfast is very peaceful and very serene. The only thing that scared me was the road not so much during the day but at night. My boyfriend took me wine tasting, a carriage ride at South Coast Winery, and then to dinner so we got back after dark and it was a bit intimidating. Other than that we definitely relaxed that day. The cute thing is they have this journal that guest can add they're comment to. It was interesting to see why other guest chose to come here and some of them are repeat guest. WE will definitely be back to explore and add to our adventures. Hopefully soon. Oh yea, one minor thing that I didn't mind but made me feel uncomfortable is that that the bathroom didn't have a door and since it's attached to the kitchen pretty much my boyfriend could of walked in on me.

Can you imagine this place exist!!
A couple spent 20 ish years remodeled this place with full of passion. It’s like Harry Potter Castle with full of stories. The host put so much efforts in decorating each corner of this Rainbow Inn. It’s a heaven for people love to read. We got here and even detox two days without using cell phone in here.

The host prepared amazing breakfast each day at the time you request. The breakfast came in in a picnic basket and we took it to the deck and had amazing breakfast with view. What a great way to start a day!!

Thanks for providing this amazing experience for our staying!!

It’s not easy to be passionate about life always. But they prove you that’s wrong.
Start to have a great in the morning and love what we currently have!!!

This is more than your typical bed and breakfast. You are the innkeepers' only guests and you actually have your own guest cottage with sitting room/library, bedroom and bath/kitchen. But even more than that, you have the exclusive use of the deck and pool as well and your own entrance from the parking area to come and go as you please. Upon arrival, you are greeted not only by a personalized welcome sign, but also both of your gracious hosts, the innkeepers, Scott and Dona Adams. Once you check in, you don't see the Innkeepers until you turn in the key, even though they live in the house adjacent to the guest house. There are no neighbors, at least none that I could see or hear. The area is very quiet and peaceful, the beautiful scenery and wildlife is enough to relax even the most stressed out guests. ||||The house is secluded on a hillside, with spectacular views of the surrounding valley and its avocado and citrus groves, as well as being able to see the ocean on a clear day. The deck constitutes the entire roof of the guest house, and so both are around 800 square feet. The decor is country; homey and cozy, but not overdone or fussy. The house and surrounding grounds are kept immaculate. My favorite part about this property were the little hand-painted signs scattered throughout the gardens, grounds and inside the cottage, with clever sayings and quotes. It is very apparent that a lot of love and care went into preparing this place for their guests.||||The bedroom is long and narrow. One end contains a queen-sized bed (very comfy). This end of the room is a little tight, with only 1-2 feet on either side, but adequate. The other end of the room contains a twin bed, wing-backed chair and small closet, complete with sweatshirts and robes for guests as well as extra pillows. ||||The bathroom has cabinets full of extra toilettries, should you forget something. The only thing they didn't have was an extra toothbrush, which is something I forgot (a quick trip to Wal-Mart solved that one). You are also expected to provide your own shampoo & conditioner, which was not unexpected. Soap and a blow-dryer are provided for you. At one end of the bathroom, is a makeshift kitchenette, complete with mini-fridge, coffee maker (w/coffee, creamer, sugar & sugar substitute), microwave (and popcorn!), and toaster, as well as cooking utensils, flatware, cups and spices. They also provide a corkscrew and wine glasses, should you decide to bring something bubbly back from one of the nearby wineries.||||Three walls of the living room contain an ample library, full of classics and best-sellers, as well as non-fiction and videos; CDs and DVDs are available upon request, free of charge. There is a BBQ and easy hiking on the property. They do not have WiFi, but they have DirecTV and good cell coverage, so if you have a capable smart phone, you can create a hotspot if you really need to stay connected (though it's almost nicer not to). There are plenty of comfy places to sit and read, watch TV, play games, or just relax, both inside the cottage and out, as well as on the deck. There are several extra blankets and throws and a cast-iron "fireplace" (electric heater with pseudo fire) in the living room to help warm those chilly nights and mornings. They have also recently installed a heater/air conditioner which works very well and is relatively quiet.||||Breakfast is left on a table just outside the door (on a covered porch), at whatever time you indicate on a little chalkboard that Dona can see from her window. Dona provides plenty of delicious food that varies day by day. One day we found fresh strawberries, bagels with butter, cream cheese and jam, juice, boiled eggs and mini muffins. Another day we were served english muffins with butter and jam, sweet bread, mixed nuts, juice, grapes and peeled clementines. It was plenty of food and we enjoyed at least one breakfast up on the deck.||||The surrounding area has several points of interest and activities. Within minutes, you will find several award-winning wineries that offer tasting and tours, as well as Indian Casinos. Nearby Old Town Temecula is like going to an old west town and has good shopping and easy parking. There are also jeep tours and hot air balloon trips offered in the area.||||All in all, it seemed that Scott and Dona have thought to provide everything their guests need, and then some. It was a perfect get-away and we felt relaxed and rejuvenated after our long weekend. Scott and Dona are warm, hospitable hosts and make you feel like family. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family and we will make a point to stay there again.

Great retreat for couples or friends. Views are outstanding, accommodations are comfortable and charming and the hosts are lovely! They serve a healthy continental breakfast when you want it and you have the ability to bring and grill your own food. The kitchenette is perfectly stocked with just what you need! Can't wait to go back!

What a find. The perfect, most comfortable connected but off grid secluded by not desolate place I have ever stayed. Yes, its true, Donna & Scott are the perfect hosts and family like - unless you don't like your family - then they are those great comfy non-pestering neighbors. There if you need them - otherwise - invisible. When you book, make sure to ask about the massage specialist too. The unit is essentially 3 rooms. Living area - bedroom & Kitchen-et with a nice shower. Yes, toilet too. There is a 40 inch TV with a VCR [yes - vcr] a non-blue ray DVD player, a CD player and about 10,000 books to read. A cute porch area, a HUGE deck above, a pool, some little trails, trees and just the right amount of get away from everything to bring the romance back into your . . well, romance.. Couples and those seeking solitude will love it. Comfy bed, nice couch... come on - if you dont get it by now then you must visit. Tell them Gil and Nina sent you.. lol... Oh, a word of caution for the last 150 yards of the drive. There is a sharp left hander then just after the curve - a very hard right turn into the drive way. Be careful. ||Donna and Scott are wonderful, cute and great hosts. Breakfast was perfect - not to much, not to little. Bring your food - there is a microwave and little fridge too. I say if there was a 6th circle to give, I would have. .

My husband and I needed a quiet place to relax and unwind for a few days. We both found that the Rainbow Inn was perfect. Both Dona and Scott, the owners, answered all of of questions promptly before I made reservations and I felt that this would be the perfect place. We were certainly not disappointed. Their attention to details is outstanding--and we felt comfortable from when we were greeted in the driveway as we arrived. If you like reading, there are hundreds of books. DVD's and Cd's are also available. Dona provides a very fresh, nutritious breakfast which is brought to the room each day at the time we specify. Each day was a different selection. We were welcome to eat it in our room, patio, by the pool or on the upper deck. The breakfast is not a full hot breakfast, but certainly enough to start our day. ||The area is quiet and we found it relaxing just listening to the birds in the day as we relaxed on the upper deck. The owners live right next door, but we had complete privacy. That is something that Dona and Scott provide to each guest. They are wonderful hosts. Will be stay there again? Definitely. We already have reservation for another stay. I hope that you will enjoy your stay as much as we did.
