Un usuario señaló que hay un guardabosques que vive en el lugar, lo que hace dudar por qué no es responsable del mantenimiento de los senderos. Beautiful area, heavy user traffic. Weird part is that it seems users are supposed to maintain the trails. In multiple areas there are trees down that have not been removed. There is a park ranger who lives on site, not sure why this person or someone else is not responsible for maintaining the trails. If they don’t want to, I would imagine some sort of nonprofit association could be assembled to do it.

Make sure you bring a good pair of shoes because a lot of the trails have tons of mud from the rain winter season. Always a peaceful serene easygoing walk. The trees look gorgeous and the rocks are blanketed in Moss. Be careful when using the stairs throughout the trails especially for elderly because the handle rails are very loose and can't be depended upon. There are picnic tables tucked within the park making it easy to unpack a quick lunch. Bathrooms are located right by the parking lot ⭐

This is a great easy-moderate trail that loops around the lake. My little dog did great on the about two hour route. Issue is parking. The lot is very small and the neighborhood has no parking signs for miles out. Lots of people wait in line with their cars but there is not much turnover. Want to go back to explore some of the trails that bear off of this one.

Had a wonderful Saturday morning walk. The weather was perfect., not sunny or cold , as I went around 8.30 am wasn't too busy... got busy later. Lots of people walking, cycling, with children, dogs. To reach the lake itself takes hardly any time... it's beautiful and serene. A couple of benches have been placed to sit and enjoy the view. Redwoods on the left side, wildflowers, shrubs and other trees on the right. Can walk either way and loop right back. Some bits especially on the left are a bit narrow and uneven. The right side has a pretty wide path most places. Enjoyed the chirping of birds...saw a few common ones. Saw one solitary bushy grey squirrel at the beginning and a couple of ducks. That was all the wildlife! Was looking forward to seeing more!
There are a few trails that go off the main loop, one leading to Mt Tam n Lake Lagunitas. Would like to go there another time.
All in all a lovely experience and would definitely visit again.

A loop from Phoenix lake to Lagunitas lake is possible through canyons and riparian forest. Expect steep trails. Parking at Lagunitas lake is expensive ($8) but easy. Parking in Ross is always crowded

I love to ride my super73 here. I also love normal mtb. The trails are not very rough and it’s a great place to go to if you want to get you family into mountain biking. Great fishing spot, too! Just a warning, if you pull up on an e-bike like a super73, you might get yelled at by some salty bikers. But don’t let that stop you from biking here! It’s really worth it. Just ask people for advice when it comes to ebiking. I also HIGHLY recommend off road tires or you will be slipping all over the place.
