"De lo mejor en UCR. Pentland es una elección realmente genial de dormitorios y el diseño tipo suite hace que se sienta como en casa, además de que te sentirás más cerca de la gente que te rodea. Sin embargo, las duchas son un poco raras, me alojé en uno de los edificios más antiguos y la presión del agua era realmente alta (literalmente dolía un poco) y era difícil ducharse correctamente sin mojarme el pelo porque la cabeza de la ducha golpea en un lugar realmente incómodo."

Pentland is a really great choice of dorms and the suite-style design makes it feel really at home and you'll feel closer to the people around you. However the showers are kinda weird, I stayed at one of the older buildings and the water pressure was really high (it hurt a bit tbh) and it was hard to shower properly without getting my hair wet cause the shower head hits at a really awkward spot.

Good place to dorm, a lot of private space and the washrooms and bathrooms are shared between only 10 people.

I am not sure if the other residence halls are any better, but my daughter had nothing but issues here her first year at UCR.
Several flooding incidents, a few power outages, and A/C issues on a few very hot days. The staff did not always communicate well during these issues, and we were ignored when we attempted to get a partial refund of the exorbitant amount we paid for dorms that were constantly not in proper working order.

I stayed here for orientation, I actually will be living in Lothian. From what I saw, Pentland offers a lot more amenities than the other two res halls, but from what I've heard from friends attending here, it is the most anti-social of the halls. The hallways feel a little cramped and the rooms are very small. They have private bathrooms and showers which is a major plus to me.

There scenery is fantastic, especially outside of Pentland C and D in the grass area. The computer labs and Pentland Hills gym are very convenient. Not to mention that it is in close proximity to the dining halls, and Scotty's at Glen Mor, and Market at Glen Mor. The internal building atmosphere at Pentland Hills tend to be more pleasant, and cleaner than Lothian and Aberdeen Inverness.
