Moved in July 29, 2016. On Section 8 and allowed visitors too stay overnight 14 days a year. I kept track of each night stayed by everyone and was asked to move out. The director Liz Lopez Byrne's has a vendeta to make sure you obey her. After we signed an agreement on April 30, 2018 to move out June 30, 2018 she proceeded to serve us three day notices. Five of them until the last on May 15, 2018, three day notice to quit because I was laying on the sidewalk waiting for my wife.
Liz wrote on the notice that the laying on the sidewalk was causing a threat to the safety and well being of the other tenants. Plus I was passed out. I don't drink.
So if you are fortunate enough to land a rental in Oak Park I, II or III, be greatful but watch your back. The idea is to help house the less privledged and homeless, but Liz Lopez Byrne's gets a kick out of evictions. Do your job Liz and mind your own business..
Living at oak park was nice.
But in order to be a permanent renter follow the rules to a T.
Liz you be looking for a job soon.

The Community Center at the Oak Park Housing Authority serves with the area with food distribution from the Food Bank, education, and activities for kids.

Liz Lopez favores tenants friends, that break the rules of PRHA, lets them run businesses out of there section 8 housing, also letting friends break housing rules such as letting 4 people (friends) live in 1bd which is against PRHA rules taking the rights away from disable tenantes to acomadate friends, she intiminats residents with iviction,this should be investigated by the housing authority.
