I am at this exact moment standing in front of the office window. After coming from the store before it closed at 2am. I've misplaced my key and have rang the bell several times now. It's been more then 20 mins and still no answer.

Pretty rundown place.
But the service was great- really nice reception.
Booked two nights, only stayed one, and was refunded the second after the 11:00am checkout time.

Exactly as advertised.
No bed bugs.
Polite reception.
Excellent price.
Only thing I would have changed is there was nothing next to the outlet to set my phone on while it charged, it's a negligible problem for me personally it could be worth noting for others though. I was by myself so I didn't have to worry about anyone else stepping on my phone anyway.

This place is very simple, and the rooms are clean, I was expecting less of my one week stay in this motel, I actually have a pleasant experience. THE motel attendant Joseph is very pleasant and super nice!

I WAS WORRIED ABOUT MY SAFETY GIVEN THE LOCATION OF THE MOTEL, I guess I was wrong again!...

For all of you people. out there that have the same stereotype mind like me, don't let your thoughts make the decision for you.

I am quite a traveler and I have stayed in many nice places. BUT, at the end of the day, you only need a bed to sleep in.

PALM MOTEL is good enough, especially for the price!

ONE MORE THING! I just wanna add that the whole entire parameter is covered with cctv. so, in any even that you'd feel weird, just know that the whole motel is being recorded.!

It’s not as bad as some of the reviews make it out to be. The bed does look a little sus, but a lot less sus than the Bart train. The shower looks fine although I didn’t use it. No coffee machine but I managed to find coffee place within 5 min walking. One big draw back is that I didn’t realize smoking is allowed here and it smells like weed at night, which I hate. In general the Bay Area just is too weedy for me :((((

I rented room 14 for $88. Most of the hotels in Emeryville we're $210 and up for my budget, so the prices of this motel really, really, fit my budget! However the Room was clean, bed and towels were clean. Bathroom was mostly clean with the exception that the previous tenant didn't flush the toilet after use. There was a smell of old building material coming from under the sink. 5he toilet was installed crocked and a little far from the wall. The paint on the walls look like they've seen better days as the painter did a horrible paint job. The cable coming from the plug to both the TV and the Dish converter was a "Red Neck" job. There was also a hole in the wall above the TV and a missing hanger rod for the closet. The motel was hard for my Uber driver to find it. The manager was really awesome. I couldn't find the Motel and he gave me step-by-step directions to get to it. The area was REALLY sketchy so MAKE SURE to look up the motel on Google maps and show it to your Uber or Lyft services before going there. My Uber driver dropped me off 3 block prior to get to the place as I was a HIGH TARGET in the neighborhood with a huge backpack and suitcase at about 10:40PM (9/1/22). Luckily, I survived the whole ordeal and slept Great last night. Would I stay here, Yes, as long as they keep the rooms clean enough, it's worth it. It can pass you through the night just fine.

I liked the place because it was quiet and the staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. But the room was very old and the bathroom was horrible. I couldn't even take a shower because of the condition of the shower. If you just want peace and quiet 🤫 that's fine. Anything else is uncivilized.
