We appreciated the easy charm and quiet location. The room was beautiful and spacious with a very comfortable bed. Good restaurants within a short walk. Mario made us an excellent Swiss breakfast each morning and was a gracious host. There is no official parking, but it was easy to get a place on the street or squeeze into the driveway. The only downside is there isn’t much in the way of sound proofing between floors or rooms, so you need to hope that the other guests are quiet. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay here! Such a welcoming home with a lovely family. Kathleen was so accommodating and helpful. Not to mention she prepared such a lovely breakfast setting every morning! I was so excited that she took my food needs into consideration. Being Gluten Free sometimes makes me feel like I’m missing out but I didn’t feel that way!
We couldn’t find parking the first night so we were able to park in the driveway and left our keys downstairs they moved our car to a perfect spot and we never had to move it our whole stay. We walked and got rides from family. It worked out so perfectly for us.
We were in the greatest walkable neighborhood with easy access to beaches and spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge.
There’s dead bolts on the inside of the rooms. I didn’t feel uncomfortable leaving my belongings and souvenirs there when we went out because we locked the front door of the house when leaving. I don’t travel with valuables I can’t carry on my person.
We had the Green and Red Rooms both were very comfortable and we both slept so well every night. The green room was large with window seat bathroom and sitting area. The red room was smaller but still had seating and a poster bed and the bathroom was down the hall. We came to visit Marilyn’s baby grandson. Thank you so much for helping to create family memories.

We prededed our trip that focused on the US Open at Pebble Beach with a four night stay at My Rose Garden Guest rooms. The quiet neighbourhood location and spacious accommodation of the Green room with a very comfortable bed , ensuite and a thoughtfully prepared breakfast were all features we enjoyed. Our Hostess was very personable and her friendliness added to the enjoyment of our stay in San Francisco. We were very busy and did not really have time to linger in the common areas of the house but we certainly took advantage of the proximity to Baker Beach, and the Cliff House as well as excellent public transit connections.

We lived in SFO for five years but we now live in New York. Our son currently lives in the Sunset District of the SFO, so when we visit him we were looking to stay in a residential neighborhood away from the tourists and traffic. This is a very nice house in an upscale and safe neighborhood. Living and dining rooms are large and comfortable. There are three guest rooms, two of which are good sized and comfortable. The third room, where we stayed, is small and not very comfortable, and we would not stay there again. Kathleen warned us before we rented it, but we took it anyway. Kathleen is a very pleasant and experienced hostess and serves a very good and varied breakfast each morning. We were initially concerned about parking which is very tight in that area, however, we had better luck around the block on 21st Ave. Public transit is a couple of blocks away, as are a few good dining options on Clement St.

Dans un quartier ouest reculé de la ville, cette chambre d'hôte présente un cadre très cosy. Le petit déjeuner y est excellent et est propice aux discussions entre clients, venus des quatre coins du monde quelques fois. Avoir une voiture est préférable, mais un arrêt de bus est proche sur California. Il va en centre ville. A proximité raisonnable, le golden gate park, Baker beach ou Ocean beach. Je conseille, pour personnes calmes surtout. Accepter, au tarif, de devoir faire soi-même son lit tous les jours. Les draps sont changés sur demande. Deux chambres ont une salle d'eau commune. Mon séjour ici a été très agréable.

Wir waren von diesem Guest House wirklich sehr angenehm überrascht! Die Gastgeberin Nancy war sehr zuvorkommen, unterhaltsam und fürsorglich. Wir haben für zwei Nächte im oberen Violet Room übernachtet. Zimmer war zwar etwas klein, dafür aber hatten wir eine riesige Dachterasse für uns privat 🙂 das Frühstück war sehr liebevoll und mit frischem hochwertigem Obst und selbst gebackene Kuchen angerichtet. Auch das teilen des Badezimmers und den beiden Toiletten verlief ohne Probleme und alles war sehr sauber. Eine sehr gute, persönliche und noch recht günstige Alternative für SF. Liegt auch sehr nah an der Golden Gate Brücke.

As I worked for a BnB for 10 years I was really surprised not to have any contact with a host until breakfast the next morning. I keyed the code to get into the house & then had to find my room. Discovered the Violet Room is up 3 flights of stairs so be advised as you will be hauling up your own luggage. My first night was so cold I got up to put on extra clothes. I was provided a space heater the next morning. There is plenty of drawer storage but no place to hang clothes aside from a valet stand. Shared bath was decorator perfect. Hairdryer sounded like it might electrocute you at any moment. |The breakfast was laid out beautifully & food is ample but unimpressive. (I may be spoilt but I was expecting breakfast to be a highlight). |You should know beforehand about the stairs & keys to lock room are available only on request. If you love dogs the two pugs compensate for everything. |Room price is outstanding for SF. |||
