There’s a Little Library near the sidewalk at this place. I got some books to donate to it, but have yet to get around to it. I am glad someone else donated some books, there. It’s above the railroad tracks, on Lake Street. Between Pine and North Mount Shasta Blvd.

Some unforeseen circumstances came up and I needed to have my Airbnb reservation canceled after the grace period given for a full refund. This company went above and beyond to make sure I received a full refund. They were very understanding and informed me I can book their properties direct to save the fees that Airbnb adds and that their cancellation policy isn’t as strict. For my next Shasta trip I’ll be booking direct.

Booked a rental to come up and go snowboarding and last minute had to be moved to another home due to maintenance issues with the one we were supposed to stay in, They moved us into a the home next door and it was much larger with a hot tub. They were super nice and were great to work with. I will definitely book with them in the future

All around 5 STARS!! We stayed in the most amazing vacation rental in Dunsmuir. It had everything we could have possibly needed during our stay. The staff at Mt Shasta Vacation Rentals were so helpful when booking and even went out of their was to put in valentines and sweets upon our arrival. I will never book on AirBnB again if I can book direct!!!

I contacted Mt Shasta Vacation Rentals to see if they could help me with a monthly rental and they came through for me and my family in a big way. I'm super pleased with how everything turned out in the interaction with them, and their flexibility was also very helpful.

I reached out about a home over phone and they said they would email me a link to book the home. I waited for the email but never received it so called several times to inquire (no answer). By the end of the day I finally was able to get through to someone and they had sent it to the wrong email (honest mistake). They re-emailed and I followed the link as they had told me to book the place but the link was not working. In a panic I sent a follow up email because I needed to secure a place to stay, to ask why the link wasn’t working and if they could confirm the reservation. No reply. I emailed the following morning, no reply. I called 5-6 times throughout the day stressed as they said I could book the place but it wasn’t confirmed. Finally by 5pm I got a hold of them on phone and they told me someone may have booked the place they told me I could reserve in meantime but due to technical errors, wrong email and no responsiveness on their end I was unable to do so.

They said they’d call me back to confirm if this was the case and if anything else was available and again I did not hear back! I needed to call back again to ask and confirm and indeed they had let someone else book the place in the meantime.

This was very stressful and there was no regard for customer service and the fact that I could have secured another place to stay within those two days it took to contact them and sort this out. I am very disappointed.

Submitted a request Friday evening for a vacation rental that was listed as available. Called Monday to make sure it was received, told we would hear for sure Tuesday if it was actually available or not (website said that it was). Tuesday afternoon we called and were told that it was not and that they may have another place that would work. Clarissa told me that she would check with someone and get back to me ASAP. I even explained that this was extremely important as we needed a place to stay for a loved ones funeral.

Over an hour went by and still nothing. Called again and was told that wasn't available either. I told her that it was ridiculous that she wasn't calling me as soon as she learned things weren't available, but I was having to call myself and find out. She became extremely rude and aggressive at this suggestion.

Overall, I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. No one who treats prospective customers like this deserves anyones support.

The UpperSac Shack and Rivercast cabin are exceptional, really fun to rent with two families and be well connected.
