Pretty Quiet at night & mostly during the day.

The Managers/Owners Are currently busy restoring the rooms at the motel.

The rooms are clean and this is a new king size bed in here plus new TV on the wall and a heater 2 stay warm ...the WIFI is excellent & included in the price

At the moment the motel is on
OFF SEASON rates which is *very reasonable & very welcome to a frazzled and tired driver. Weekly rates currently at $400 plus taxes

I'm still "decompressing" from a long 17 hour drive from up North in Washington State, so I was very grateful for the room & shelter from all the storms, heavy traffic and freezing *30 Weather!!

The storm & heavy rain was coming down pretty snowy & slushy at the Shasta Summits, so the driving was slow and was very crowded with traffic;

So it's good to come down into some dry & snowfree roads!! Very quiet at night here; also the staff are very pleasant to work with and rates are low.

So I'm really Grateful to get out of
"The Freezing Rain & ICE STORMS " just in the nick of timel!!

THANKYOU so very much for being there & open for me during a very long, (17 hour) stressful drive & impromptu emergency room reservation !!

I was there last week When I went into the room it was complely full of cockroach's, fly's and little insects inside the bed. I reported this, was promised a refund and left. The motel has stopped taking my calls and I have no pending refund 11 days later.

The walls are so thin you can practically hear the neighbors breathing in the next room. In need of an update, but it wasn't the worst place.

Positive: "" Negative: Booked non-smoking, but told room we booked was not available and given smoking room. There was no soap or shampoo/conditioner and it appeared that the bathroom had not been cleaned.

Recently stayed and have stayed in the past. Affordable and private . The managers awesome doesn't get into your personal business and housekeeper is so nice and friendly.

This place takes a cash deposit and than takes the whole thing for no reason. When asked under which criteria they base this on, they simply responded, "the smell" when i complained about the smell immediately. Not only did we pay the deposit, but the county paid the same deposit. We paid an additional $40 a night for a pet fee as well. They also took it upon themselves to use county money to do an unneccessary remodel of said room. This is exactly why the county quickly ran out of a huge homeless assistance grant. Shame on you, Mountain View Inn. Unethical business practices and profitting greatly while the people the money was intended to help sits nicely right in your pocket. I left that room cleaner than when i got there. Here are the pictures.. and yes these were taken at checkout.

Limitless

The front desk person who checked us in is very nice and respectful. They're renovating the place to make it better. The smoke detector alarm in our room went off twice around 5AM, for no reason, so we checked out and left early. Not sure what was up, because nobody else's room was affected. However, someone came to take it away and would probably fix it.

This poor delapitated hotel has been purchased by a new owner who is really turning it around , and it's still the best buy for what you get . It is clean the bed is super comfy, the bathroom and towel situation needs work but if you ask you get more towels. They have a fridge and microwave, and the new owner is just very nice and you cannot beat the rates for a clean bedbug free place! I suspect it will be remodeled and be even better, I hope the rates stay very affordable
