I'm giving them a 1 star for the following. When reservations were made a friend asked for a pet friendly room since there was a dog traveling with. The person on the phone was like yes no problem everything good and gave a price and everything was good to go... fast forward to check in day the price was not what was said on the phone (the cost was 20 dollars a day per pet) and the dog can't be there for more than 10 consecutive days? So what are they supposed to do with the dog when they're in school for 4 months and are PCSing to a new command and are here just for achool We all know the navy takes their sweet time when it comes to giving you money but are quick to take it. Previous command didn't help with the process and the school here have been getting things in order for students in the same situation and the people that managed this hotel has charged the students pretty much their whole paycheck without notification to them and even after the school house lady that handles that told them not to do it they still went ahead and left multiple students with no money because they couldn't wait, didn't listen or flat out didn't care. And I get it they have to get paid but here's the thing.... they're on a military installation so it's not like they're not going to get their money... i don't think it's ok for them to go ahead and charge the students when they've been told to wait and students have been told they can't use the government travel card to pay for it even if they're in orders. Some staff employees have terrible attitudes and are condescending so I highly encourage to stay somewhere else. The experience have not been good at all. The dog had to stay with somebody out in town during this whole time. Again don't recommend this spot

Not bad. Not great. Would rate 5 stars if our particular block had working air conditioning. (That really should have been mentioned up front.) That said, once I figured out that leaving the A/C wasn't working (the inside temp kept rising instead of going down), then shutting off the A/C and opening up all the windows, the place started ca.yooling the place down. Large ceiling fans assisted in making things bearable. Other than the A/C issue, the rooms were very spacious. Two bedrooms, one bathroom (the shower could use a better shower head), a kitchen (with dining area and living room) are great.

Stayed at the Midway Estates 1 queen/ 2 twin unit aka 2a housing from dodlodging. Extremely convenient 2br 1ba apartment. Not as upgradraded as the gateway inn but definitely my preference for my family. Washer and dryer in the unit great for beach days and lots of room for the kids to run around. Definitely worth it and will stay here again.

THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING. None of the suites here have a/c and complaining to the maintenance guys and the front desk will get you nowhere. NGIS has no plans to install air conditioning units anytime in the future. My advice? Get a room at 1201 or 1434 if you can and if being cool is really that important to you. If it isnt, midway estates is still comfortable otherwise.

It's pretty much like renting a small appartment. It's outdated but much more spacious than the rooms at 1201 and 1434.

Great place. Only difference is the AC part. I gather it depends on which unit you're provided. Prior stay AC was fantastic verses I think its different mild cooling.

Great place to stay at. The whole suite for you plus it's right on base. Very quite and you can't complain about the weather.
