UPDATE: My mom recently passed and I have so many staff I appreciate for all they have done. Thought this journey they were kind and patient. A special thanks to Jessica, Micheal, Celia, Princess, and Bernadette. There are so many good people there, I’ll always be grateful. And in the final days, the support I received was so kind.
I am giving 4⭐️‘A for several reasons that I have listed below.
First I want to give credit to the staff, they were very supportive during my moms transition into long term care and also my process of her moving into the facility. The nurses and cnas have been attentive to her during her crisis’ and assisted her in stabilizing. The admin staff have been accommodating regarding her room, in addition to her personal needs that have a direct impact on her mental health. Also… The facility was clean! Lupe and housekeeping were constantly cleaning up and down the halls and in the rooms….it never smelled bad.
I have spent years with my mom going in and out of nursing facilities and hospitals and have been a very strong advocate for my mom, therefore have written many reviews that have not been favorable for some of those facilities due to their neglect and/or facilities/staff issues. I think it’s important to recognize the care when it’s good so I’m writing this review about how I am thankful for the care my mom gets at Meadow Brooks.
Just as any place of course there are some issues but this is the first place I know my mom is safe and being cared for.
(Also, I gave 4⭐️‘S vs 5 because any place or person could always use improvement)

My mother has been at this facility for over six years. We’ve seen some staff come and go. To date she’s had nothing but the best care here. Whenever there was an issue it gets addressed and resolved. They are very good with all of the patients here. Despite what you may read about some of the other reviews this place has been really good. A lot of times they don’t get the credit that they deserve. The staff here treat my mom like she is part of the family. And in all the years that she has been there we’ve had little to no issues. Some of the staff has been there for a very long time and they are just excellent. We really appreciate all they do.
I would definitely recommend you do your homework before you discount a facility like this one because a lot of facilities are all doing the best they can with the amount of staff that they have. I’ve worked with a few people here in the years of my mom has been here and they have once again have been nothing but very respectable towards me and my mother. I wouldn’t put her in any other place. So a great big Thank you to all of the staff and management of Meadowbrook. Please continue to keep up the good work! Just to name some of the great staff here. Karen, Joyce, BK and Leonore. Forgive me if I didn’t mention others as I can only think of these few.
Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication. You have made and keep my mom happy.

I live here now. I have NOT been treated well, they lock the main building front door at night with a bungee cord, because they won’t fix it. The room I’m in now is barely big enough for me and they moved a very big guy who has a serious mental health problem, will not clean up after himself ie: shower EVER, staff (except for Linda and one other night woman who may both now be gone) are mostly inconsiderate and treat with disrespect and I’m unable to talk to the owner directly. I pay to live here but am pushed around and told they don’t work for me, I pay for my stay here. Food is not very good- sere tea in a small plastic cup. Grounds have trash, cigarette butts and the buildings are in great disrepair. Laundry room is strewn with a HUGE pile of clothing and other apparel for years. Some residents are abusive and try to bully other residents and the staff ignores it, actually laughed at me for telling them that they get paid by the owner not the residents. The owner/ person in charge is inaccessible and we cannot vent our issues with them. Ombudsman has been here many times but they have no legal authority to make changes, ly suggest. Residents steal from others. Can’t lock my door to my room. Other day a man just walked on to the grounds and tried cutting the cable lock off my bicycle to steal it. No one would stop him, even the several residents who saw this happening did say or do a thing.

This place isn't in the best shape. The building is old and the room furniture is outdated and falling apart. My mother's room had ants on the walls. All I can say positive about this place is that they do have some decent caretakers that look after my mom. But not everyone takes thier job seriously!

This is the WORST possible place to send your family member! Please do yourself a favor and find a facility with EXPERIENCED staff who accurately give correct patients medication, a DON and administrator who actually do their JOB and a place where they are invested in properly caring for patients and not just trying to make money on your family! It is stunning that this place has any stars and is actually legally allowed to remain open for patients! Hopefully their next state audit will catch them in the act and shut them down for everyone's safety.

Recently I had a friend in hospice at Meadowbrook. I found the facility to be clean, comfortable, and warm. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and I felt that they cared about my friend. They were very helpful during an extremely tough time.

I would like to thank the entire staff for their concern and thoughtfulness.

This place is horrible. They steal from their residents and take advantage of the elderly. I’ve had two different loved ones stay at this facility and both of them had items stolen from them. They stole jewelry from my grandmother while she was staying there and other personal possessions from the other person. Lots of shady things going on at this place so I would not recommend anyone let their loved ones stay here.
