I lived here for 6 years. I never had any major issues with management and the maintenance team is excellent. The few times I had things that needed fixing, they were on it very quickly. I do wish the parking situation was better because if someone parks in your spot it's really annoying.

Lived in Marina Crescent in 1982 and it was so conversation to everything. A very pleasant experience.
Hope it's still as nice now.

Lived here 2 yrs and it was the worst place to live!! Malena is so unorganized and doesn't know how to communicate with residents. And It's very rare to have somebody actually there on property in the front office. And maintenance is slow with repairs thats if you can get ahold of them. You would think for $2,000 a month you would have a decent apartment and not something that's all run down and appliances that don't work. So if you're looking for a good nice place to live Marina Crest apartment is not it !

The leasing office is rarely open. They have a backup office at their sister company Shoreline Apartments. This leasing office is also not open during posted business hours and the will be back sign is broken.

There is repair work going on for the stairwells that they don't really keep you up to date on. Our stairwell has been under repair for about the last 3 months. They let us know when it would start, but no communication afterwards.

We are about to come up on our first year and they want to raise the rent price $100 per month. So it would be 1700 per month for the tiny apartment.

Maintenance actually reacts pretty quickly if you put in a request. But they're under funded and it seems to only be one guy so they can't do a lot.

I would not recommend this apartment to even my worst enemy. I have lived here for over a year. There are bugs in our apartment (Cock roaches) and the building across from us is infested with bugs, even though we are very clean people and never have had an issue before this. Also the front office does not care about you at all. They would rather evict you then have an actual interaction with you. They don't confront anyone and are willing to just slap a paper on your door, without ever letting you know.

It’s at best, okay. Being the most expensive rental with the least amenities I’ve ever lived in.. it’s really not worth the price. They don’t have breed restrictions on animals and it’s just a few miles from the ocean which is nice. The area itself is convenient for commuters. Workers are friendly and helpful. The owners however seem to think it’s an HOA and have some pretty silly “rules” & “fines” for breaking them... it’s very corporately ran without having the amenities or conveniences of actually renting from a corporatized property. They have washers and dryers on grounds but they are horrible, they barely work and when asked for reimbursement after they failed to work multiple times they never responded. Parking is TERRIBLE if you have more than one occupant. W/s/g bills are more expensive than usual. The building is very old, the units have been “redmodeled” to look newer but with very cheap materials. Some units have carpet/wood flooring/dishwashers/more closet space etc but all units are rented at the same price point which is odd. Walls are paper thin and you can literally hear full conversations in neighboring units.. not joking unfortunately. The windows are extremely old too causing it to be drafty. The community of neighbors is by far the best thing about the whole place, the people who live there really made it a home for us. If I had to live there again, I wouldn’t. You can find more for your money in Monterey.

Won't recommend. Not only the laundry machine was far they only have 4 washer and when 1 washer was broken (for 2 weeks) then another one last weekend. So a total of 2 washing machines working. And as mentioned with the other comment. The 1st day we moved in here the rude old lady was questioning if we parked in our right spot. If we considered her rude maybe there is something wrong with her approach.

Decent place to live . It is close to schools, shopping, ect. It is well maintained & repairs are made in a reasonable time if needed. I have lived here for years & have had no problems with any neighbors - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings
