Renaissance was great. Manzanita (name change due to new ownership) I cannot recommend. The one star is given because the rooms are large and the bathrooms are pretty well designed for seniors. If your loved one is still sharp, they are probably okay at Manzanita. If your loved one struggles to communicate with strangers, or is unable to phone family for help, avoid this place like the plague. Any faith I once had in the competency of their medical staff, especially the management, has completely evaporated. I would not trust this establishment with a serious medical issues anymore. (They have screwed up more than one minor medical issue for our relative.) We regret not moving our relative out of this facility sooner.

We have been at Manzanita for nearly 3 months and have been pleased with the experience. Our loved one had been at another facility for nearly 2 years, and they looked for every opportunity to raise the fees month to month...not so here. The place is clean and we are kept informed of any concerns, all at a much affordable price than other competitors in the area.

Once the new management company Mosaic took over, it has been a poor experience and a decline in the facility, activities are null, meals are poor quality, housekeeping quality declined. They say they offer medication management, but they are not trained medical staff, they were not reliable in providing medication, missed or wrong medication provided, they wanted to raise the rent by $700, and reduced the care, they claim a person is available 24 hours, not so. Poor communication with the residents, staff in not forthcoming and professional with residents and family members, I would not trust this facility with a loved family member, when it was Renaissance Village at Rancho Belago, it was a beautiful and well ran facility, they cared about the residents, Manzanita is only interested in one thing taking money from Seniors.
When you see the reviews from prior years to the new management company taking over, people were please with the residence and the reviews were great, now I don't believe they deserve any stars but you are not able to submit without selecting a star, I do not give them a star.

The transition from prior to new owners is very average and is not satisfactory to most residents. We have waited from April to and including today to see the new contract. They are raising prices for different levels of required assistance! Laundry services are not available unless you are a member of the more expensive care levels. I require no added care, but they raised me from indipendent basic rates to the next care level. They said that having my laundry done is and additional service and increase my rent by $ 360 a month! That is more than I would ever pay. That leaves many of us to do our own laundry using 2 washers (one out of order) and 2 dryers for dozens of residents! The only other choice is purchase a laundry service! This is a small problem compared to many more. None of us feel any security or peace of mind of the future costs/raises. I would not recommend this residence to anyone might ask. The food is average, the cooking is very average. Employees especially food servers are not trained, causing many order mistakes and discontent to those who
have to eat 3 meals of average food a day. Many other items I do not want to mention, as I do not have the time. I could fill many pages and still have more to write. It is too bad that the buildings and lawns suffice, but there are a fair number of management and employees should be re trained or fired. If this is the tip of the mountain of problem.then I would recommend you talk to residences living there. You be the judge, but if you are a bill payer for a resident, you might not hear of the problems the resident faces daily

After being at several other places, this community is by far the best. There’s no place like home and that’s what this is for me, home. If anyone wants to know more about my first-hand experience here as a resident, you can come visit.

And take great care of my mom. She is definitely a handful. But they do well to juggle her was all of their other clients. Food is amazing chefs work hard to make nice meals. All the staff is friendly. Plenty of activities to keep residence occupied

Yes I had my reservations because this is a very serious decision to make about a loved one. Our mom means the world to us . From the beginning Pam and her team have been so patient , loving , kind I have had such a peace since our mom has been here . Jessica, Allura , just to name a few thank you all .
