My boyfriend and I booked here during our Vacation get away for a couple of days. He booked online thinking he got one of the jacuzzi rooms but by mistake didn't. They were great and helped us upgrade to one with no hassle at all. When we got to the room we both thought it was absolutely adorable! The decor was very rustic. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room was very clean and spacious. The jacuzzi took us a sec to figure out how to make it work until we discovered the knob by the sink which I think most of the guests that complained bout the jacuzzi in their reviews weren't aware of. The hotel might want to put some instructions in the room. The staff was great and very kind. It was very quiet and we enjoyed the forest view we had from our room. We would definitely stay here again!! Thank you Lookout Lodge for taking good care of us!!

The room wasn't fully cleaned when I checked in, and the clean towels didn't smell good.

My husband, 11 yo son and I stayed here Thursday through Sunday for an event in town. If you’re looking for a relaxing, aesthetically pleasing experience, this is not the place for you. The decor is dated and cheap (early 2000’s bear/forrest theme) and our room smelled heavily of stale cigarette smoke. There are no amenities. We were given 2 bath towels and 1 roll of toilet paper for a 3 night stay for 3 people. The managers live on site, but do not keep regular office hours. You must call a number posted on the office door if you need additional supplies. We never saw any member of the staff after check-in. They are not at all professional in appearance, although they were friendly. The exterior of the building needs an overhaul. Having said all of that, other than the smell, the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. There were no bugs and everything in our room functioned as it should. Safety was not a concern here and the location is close to everything you’ll want to see in Eureka. There is a Dollar General across the street, which is handy. Parking was sufficient. If you are just looking for a place to bunk down for a night or two and are happy with the bare minimum, this will do; otherwise, keep looking.

Cute and simple. This is not a fancy hotel but it has cute accents that make it not seem like it’s not a cheap hotel either. The second floor had a balcony/walkway area that had tables you could sit at and drink your coffee. The rooms are non-smoking but the tables outside had ashtrays in case you did smoke. Nice size room with decent mini fridge. Beds were comfortable. I had not seen a hotel that used an actual key to get into the room since I was a small child so that actually made me giggle a little. I had to put the key chain on my car keys so I wouldn’t forget them. They had a lantern replica light that when turned on had a very faint red flicker “flame”. It was a cute night light to keep on so you could see to go to the bathroom but wasn’t bright enough to actually keep you awake.

Hubby and I got away for the weekend! Nothing could have been more perfect! We had a much needed get away! Don’t wait too long to put the fire back into your relationship. Perfect! Five star !

The walls were wet - I guess from humidity? It was an okay stay. Clean and comfortable other than the dampness. Nice people.
*update* Our next stay here was good. Is close to the things in town and quiet.

Positive: The room decor was awesome; the hotel also had a cool balcony in the back that looked out over the woods. Negative: Fortunately ear plugs were included (by the hotel) on the vanity, as I needed them around midnight when some returning guests parked themselves in the chairs outside their room and talked rather loudly until about 2am.
