We recently stayed at the Dandelion Cabin at Lake Lucerne Resort and Ranch in Eureka Springs. The cabin’s quaint and inviting atmosphere impressed us from the moment we arrived. The rustic decor and cozy furnishings made us feel right at home.

Although the fireplace was unfortunately closed for the season, the cabin provided everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The view of the lake from the porch was somewhat obstructed and obscured by foliage.

While we didn’t use the kitchen and opted for takeout instead, we thoroughly enjoyed the peace and relaxation of the cabin. However, the close proximity of the cabins made it feel more like a campground with houses rather than a secluded retreat.

The resort is managed with a virtual assistant rather than onsite staff, which efficiently addressed our needs. The road to reach the cabin is rough and challenging, so we recommend using a truck or SUV instead of a car. Additionally, we felt that the price did not quite align with the quality and experience. Given these factors, we do not plan to return.

I found Lake Lucerne by happenstance while looking for a retreat in the Ozarks this summer. And it was exactly what I had hoped for! Quiet, cozy, clean cabins on a beautiful property with a lake, resident geese, donkeys and alpacas. I loved the recommendations as to what to see and where to eat in Eureka Springs put together by owner Faryl Kaye, and peppered with a sense of humor! I appreciate when hosts give you their honest opinion on places to eat and visit locally. We stayed in the Sassafras Cabin and I honestly can't wait to get back there again. We even met the housekeeper, who was also very kind and accommodating. I definitely recommend Lake Lucerne if you need a charming retreat in the Ozarks and an escape into nature.|P.S. I also highly recommend the wildlife refuge, Turpentine Creek, a short drive away from the resort (we took Faryl's recommendation on that one too!) They rescue tigers, lions, bobcats, bears, leopards and educate the public, it's amazing.

Beautiful area with the coziest/cutest cottages! Our cottage was very clean and the bed sheets were extremely soft. The owner is very kind and you can tell she pours her heart into this place. There’s also an alpaca farm that you can schedule to meet them! Our family had a great stay at this resort. We highly recommend this place!

We stayed in the Tom Sawyer and it was clean, comfortable and quite. My husband fished in the lake and caught a few large mouth bass. The place is well kept up even though it seems a bit older. It's a short drive into town with plenty of places to go eat but also had a kitchen so you could cook there. The deck was great and had nice shade to sit and relax while reading a book or just enjoying nature. I would highly recommend.

My wife and I needed a retreat from COVID isolation and a chance to change get away from the normal daily home. We booked a week in a cabin at this ranch. It was perfect. We were in a small quiet valley about 2 miles from downtown Eureka Springs, so very convenient. Our cabin was comfortable and roomy. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook in which we did due to the pandemic. It was nicely furnished and very clean and neat. The owner was very friendly, helpful, and gracious. We will be back. We loved the fall scenery, coloss and autumn scent .

The clovertree had a delightful, welcoming, and cozy atmosphere. The cottage had some beautiful antique pieces, which just added to the atmosphere of the whole experience. The ranch was peaceful and so nice to return to after exploring the area. Kitchen had everything we needed for "simpler" vacation cooking. There was plenty of comfortable seating in the cottage. Deck was nice in the morning--lots of birds to hear and watch. So glad we chose Lake Lucerne for our stay.

Booked on whim after looking at wanderwoo or wanderloo and loblolly, booked for the 6 acre lake and whilst the lake is a little scary (we decided to take our chances on lake leatherwood) The cottage was nice we stayed at gingerwood. The property is a little run down, but they are doing their best I believe, our gutters needed cleaned, and the floating gazebo has seen better days. What was surprising to us at least was there is a sign on the 2nd bedroom with a twin bed that says by removing this sign you agree to the rate price when you booked this is was only for 1 bedroom something along those lines, so we were like if you are renting the cabin shouldn't both rooms be available? there was a journal that was pretty filled up and that was fun to read, they do need a new one with fresh pages for the next guests though. I like it for the value. I would definitely book a different cabin next time (bayberry is very popular), but when you call the day of your departure, and they have a cabin can I really complain especially a pet friendly one, and I wouldn't book a different one because I didn't like this one there were just ones further back or closer to the lake that I would have taken advantage of if they were available. I will say recycling out this way is mandatory and so that is a little confusing to figure out because there are no signs in the cabin regarding it, but there are signs for pretty much everything else. Wildlife is abundant out here spiders included, my mama saw a LIVE armadillo and that is not a big thing to most people except I've only ever seen dead ones on the side of the road. Front porch with charcoal grill and back porch covered. You enter mainly through the back since that is where parking is. I thought it odd they required fishing licenses since we stayed at a resort in hot springs and could fish off their docks with NO license something about in Arkansas you don't need a license on private property, but that was a few years ago so things may have changed. You are expected to clean after yourself so more airbnb and less hotel there, which we normally bag our own trash and clean up after ourselves anyway, but they will tell you that if you have a pet with you they should not know a pet stayed there, and helpful suggestion for the property if that is the case swiffer gets pet hair on hardwood better than the broom did. I would stay here again; it is nice and secluded without being too far off the beaten path. DO NOT RELY ON GPS, it will take you to the high school and you have to keep driving down a way to get to the property. ||If I had to leave some SUGGESTIONS; many zoos will have fish/duck food to purchase, and I would recommend looking into that or investing in that especially down by the lake have a little gumball vending like machine, because honestly I and most people like to feed fish but the geese see it and they want fed too, but they can't have people food such as say bread or crackers. This kind of solves both problems and you could have a sign that says something to the effect of if this machine is out of food, we only allow so much so the wildlife doesn't become sick. ||This is the SOUTH Please invest in some rockin chairs for the front patio/porch! If need be next time we are down this way just let me know I'll buy one if ya'll could pick it up and have it here. |Also do you have chickens? We would have gladly bought some eggs off ya'll if you did. ||Have ya'll thought about a petting type of encounter? Where on certain days OR times of the year you can open it up to have some interaction with the animals? I know it says to call but it might just be easier on everyone to have certain days and or times where guests can interact with the animals and maybe sell some produce or something where guests can give treats and you can monitor, and everyone is safe. Just an idea. ||Really the only other thing I'd suggest is moving up the fire pit from the lake to the area by the main house or have both? Also just a thought but sometimes people like us don't need a whole entire bag of charcoal, it would be helpful to only purchase charcoal for one night of grilling and we would gladly have purchased that so maybe an a la carte side items type of menu?

Owner is super nice and the cabins are perfect. We stayed in the Bayberry cabin and it had everything we needed. No need to bring your kitchen with you their's is fully equipped. The lake view is amazing and animals are friendly. By the way...every morning and evening we saw a family of deer walking through the property....just a beautiful experience. We had wonderful time!
