There is nothing bad to say about this place. Any bad reviews are very dated, I disagree with them wholeheartedly. Where to start?

They treat you like people, not a number in their system. These are not corporate-run apartments, they are run by humans who treat you like humans. Yuri the manager was amazing to me, my family and everyone else! She was very prompt in her responses if we needed anything and very kind, helpful, and it felt like she cared about us. Leo, the maintenance guy, was awesome as well, very hard-working and responsive!

Second, the area is hard to beat. Living there, you are minutes from major grocery stores, freeway, places to eat, downtown Brea for a night out, etc. Verryyy very safe area in Brea, you never feel like you can't go out at night. What's HUGE is the amount of parking outside the apartment on the street! If you have guests, they aren't parking miles away and walking. Neither are you if you'd prefer to park on the street rather than the stalls they have on the inside. There are spots all along Date street usually right outside your apartment.

Third, the apartments themselves were built some time ago but they keep the insides of them up to date. We had pretty grey-ish wood flooring with carpet in the bedrooms, all white kitchen which I loved, updated appliances, sinks, etc. It is a very happy place, the courtyard areas are beautiful and well-maintained. Very green, lots of plants and flowers, very clean and it made you want to spend time outside. Not to mention the play area for kids! They have ample amount of space for kids to run around, even a cute, clean playhouse which I'll include in pictures.

Lastly, the price of these are unbeatable! I know rental prices fluctuate, but these beat ANY 2 bedroom in Orange county. They aren't trying to rob you. My husband and 2 kids (age 5 and 3) were extremely sad when we left and would've stayed for years if not for another baby on the way.

You will not regret the decision to rent here!!

I have been a tenant at La Casa Brea for 7 years, and I must say, it has been nothing but a pleasant experience. The location speaks for itself, located in the heart of Brea. The apartment is very well maintained, and the staff goes above and beyond to keep it that way. There is a nice courtyard with chairs and tables to enjoy your coffee, converse with other residents or just sit and relax. The complex also has a kids play area right in front of the courtyard to enjoy themselves. I can also count on the property Manager Yuri to be responsive and attentive with any issues that may arise.

I also believe as tenants it’s also are responsibility to do are part in keeping the grounds clean, by throwing our trash in the dumpsters, and bulk items in the designated area, as signs are posted. I want to thank the staff for all their hard work and continued effort in making La Casa Brea a safe and peaceful complex.

This was such an amazing apartment complex to live in for me, my two small children and my fiancé. We lived in a two bedroom apartment (B13) which was very spacious and up to date. Yuri is the manager for these apartment and she is AMAZING! She’s very professional with any requests that we had and was very quick to have maintenance come fix anything we needed. My children loved to play in the courtyard they have to offer, especially the life size doll house. Laundry on site is very reasonable and easy to access. The location is very is prime, not only are these apartments located in a great neighborhood but the amount of stores, food restaurants and mall was super convenient for us; along with have the freeway not too far. Rent is very, very reasonable for being located in OC, can’t beat it. They also offer your own parking space along with a car port. I love that it’s a gated complex so it was very private and safe. We had a wonderful experience living here, we HIGHLY recommend!

Of the tenants well. I would recommend this apartment for anyone for location, calmness and neighbors.

Its a nice complex in a great location but be careful. If you plan on having anybody over at all even a couple guest (3or4) you will get written up even if you are not loud. This apartment has lots of rules that only apply to certain residents. The laundry machines break down often. The maintenance is very slow and usually need to come back as they did not take care of the issue the first couple times. The location is great and rent is cheap but there is a catch. I would not recommend due to the manager being very hard to deal with, she seems to be very angry and bitter. We did see a couple of rats on the complex which was scary and gross. Lots of issues in this complex. I am very happy to move out to a better complex with a pool and hopefully better management.

We've lived at La Casa Brea for 5 months and absolutely love the place. The grounds are always kept clean and the neighborhood is nice and quiet. You can't beat the location or the price. Couldn't be happier!
