Wow!! What a trip of a lifetime for our family! Everything about Kodiak Legends Lodge far exceeded our expectations... and we went into our experience with high expectations! It was an intimate setting with spectacular scenery. The lodge staff were so friendly and accommodating, our cabin was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, well stocked and very clean and the food prepared by the lodge chef was always fresh and delicious. Our boat captain Rafe and deckhand Russell, were incredible, super experienced with the surrounding waters and definitely made our experience. They greeted us each day with enthusiasm, took us to awesome fishing spots where we caught tons of huge fish, saw breathtaking scenery and fabulous wildlife such as orcas, bears, otters, sea lions and bald eagles, to name a few. They processed and vacuumed sealed all of our fish, prepared it for our airline trip home and we ended up bringing home 300 lbs of halibut, black bass, Ling cod, grey cod and of course king salmon. Even though it was the trip of a lifetime, it is a trip we hope to do over and over again because it was that wonderful!

Kodiak Legends Lodge is a wonderful place to spend several days fishing, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and the extraordinary dishes provided by Chef Leann. Jessica is excellent as hostess at the lodge, greeting us every morning with a smile and hot coffee - plus coffee to go for the boat. Her cookies for the boat were much appreciated too! ||Capt Tony & deck mate Lane were the best! Each couple came home with 2 boxes of various fish: halibut, cod, salmon, rock bass and more. We saw seals, otters, whales and other wildlife during our days on the water. We highly recommend working with Chad to set up the fishing trip of a lifetime on Kodiak.

We had an amazing time at Kodiak Legends Lodge, Larsen Bay, AK! Our fishing guides Rafe and Lane made sure we brought home lots of King Salmon, Halibut, Cod and other fillets (approx 135 lbs). Not only was the fishing fantastic, but the food and accomodations were wonderful as well (we had a 2 bedroom 2 bath cabin with a beautiful view of the bay). The entire staff were very attentive from the initial booking until final departure, and really went out of their way to provide a memorable experience. We booked this trip for my dad’s 80th birthday and it did not disappoint. |Thanks to the staff, food, fishing guide, and lodging. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They made us feel like family and not just a number. My dad likes to be early to everything and they did not mind at all. If anything, they made him feel welcome and took time to have conversations with him during their busy day. Our accommodations were clean and had everything we needed. We were amazed by the view and the beautiful sunrises. We enjoyed watching the wildlife from our deck. Our fishing guide, Tony, was simply incredible! He made our days on the water very memorable. My dad was able to catch a halibut on his birthday!!! I am a 5’1” female and have not done a lot of ocean fishing. Tony was right there to guide me and teach me how it is done. With his help, I caught the only salmon brought aboard and a very sizable halibut. I highly recommend Kodiak Legends Lodge! It is a wonderful place to vacation and fish with friends and family. We are looking forward to another stay with them. |

Best fishing experience we have ever had! We have fished around the world and can honestly say that we had our best day of fishing in Larsen Bay, AK with Rafe Oliphant as our captain and his brother Russell as our first mate. They are a top notch team from Kodiak Legends Lodge. We spent 3 days fishing with them and they made sure that we caught our limit each day. Rafe knows how to read the tides, current and where to find the fish! They work hard to keep your lines in the water and are always encouraging you when you have a fish on! We shipped 150 lbs. of halibut, black bass and lingcod home!! |The lodge accommodations are extremely nice and the food is over the top!! The chef “Digger” is excellent! Everything made from scratch and so delicious. Excellent service from Jessica. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a fantastic Alaskan fly in fishing experience with luxury accommodations.

Truly an experience of a lifetime. The entire staff was so wonderful and friendly. By the end of our trip we felt we were lifelong friends with our captain, Tony, and deckhand, Lane. Each night the crew cleaned and vacuumed sealed the fish, all ready to bring home with us. And, the scenery. There are no words to adequately describe the beauty. Book the trip.

The week I spent at the Kodiak Legends Lodge is on of the best I've ever had. The lodge itself is beautiful, with multiple cabins for sleeping (with the most comfortable mattresses and pillows ever), a great dining room always full of snacks (not that you need many) and amazing views right next to the water!||||I came with a group of 7, and there were separately a group of 4 that were there at the same time. Between us, we split up each day between 3 different boats, and the fishing guides brought us to whoever they thought the best fishing was. The guides are super friendly, and knowledgable. They make sure you have a good catch no matter your skill level, and you can do as much or as little as you want! Don't want to touch the gross bait - don't worry, they've got you! Want to do more and see how to be a deckhand? They'll show you how to do everything they do on the boat!||||The days are pretty structured, but I'm sure they'd accommodate if we wanted to go off schedule. Breakfast was at 7, and we got to the boats by 8. We had a sack lunch packed for us, and stayed on the water until 4. Had an appetizer at 6, and a 3 course meal at 7. The evenings are free for your fun, whether that's drinking, kayaking, having a driftwood fire on the beach, there's truly no end to what you can't do (except for go too far off the property - don't want to be caught by any bears!)||||I was nervous before my trip started. This was my first time in Alaska, my first time fishing, and I really had little to no expectations of what would happen. I've known some things have traditionally been difficult or expensive to get on islands, so I wasn't completely sure of all of the amenities they would have. This lodge had more than I could have asked for. Extra hot water, comfy beds, friendly people, delicious food, a library of books, and so much wildlife to view. I'm definitely returning and bringing some more friends with me in the future. I strongly encourage anyone reading this to visit Kodiak Legends Lodge if you get the opportunity!

Kodiak Legends Lodge is an extremely well run operation. Beautiful remote Alaska scenery, amazing staff and customer service, amazing food, extremely knowledgeable and conservation minded guides, fresh and saltwater fishing, hiking, etc… You will not regret your trip!
