We had a great time fishing at A&W Big Timber Lodge. It was great to get up in the morning and have coffee with the guys in the boat house and then up to main dining area for a hardy breakfast. Aaron did a wonderful job of putting us on which ever type of fish we wanted and everyday we caught plenty of fish (Halibut, Salmon, Black Bass and a variety of other fish). I really enjoyed the friendly laid back attitude of Aaron and going out at 8 am with only a short boat ride to great fishing. The off grid Lodge and cabin setting were spectacular. Overall a great time.

I stayed at Big Timber Lodge at the end of August into September 2021. We flew into Kodiak via Anchorage which was an easy flight and when we got there, we were met by Aaron who is one of the Owners of the lodge. He took us to get specific things that we wanted while at the lodge and then we went and purchased fishing licenses. The boat trip to the lodge was about 25 minutes after a 20 minute drive of getting to the boat so very easy. ||||We stayed in an individual cabin with a shower and bathroom and very comfortable beds. For 5 days, we would go out at 8 am for fishing after a hearty home cooked breakfast. On the first day, we caught halibut, silver salmon, king salmon, lingcod, black bass, greenlings and rockfish. We were using double circle hooks and so sometimes we would pull up double fish which was a blast. We limited out on Black Bass and Halibut that day which was amazing. ||||This fishing continued every day (except for Wednesday where you are not allowed to fish for Halibut) and the fishing was amazing. Aaron was amazing in putting us on fish every day. ||||We saw a ton of sea otters, orcas and had porpoises circle around the boat for 5 minutes. ||||The food was all home cooked and there was more than enough of it. We ate in Aaron's family's dining room which was fine but I would have preferred that we were in a separate dining area as I felt that we were intruded a little into their lives. ||||I cannot recommend A&W Big Timber Lodge enough for amazing fishing, a phenomenal location and the wonderful family who owns and runs the lodge.

Had a great time fishing at Big Timber Lodge, with Aaron. Brought home a bunch of fish that they cleaned for me. We were successful both at bottom fishing and trolling.||Am in a wheelchair and Aaron and his wife Brittany were exceedingly accommodating, getting me on and off the boat, great meals, and any other help needed. ||Also really enjoyed fishing between the picturesque islands and watching the occasional whale break the surface ||I highly recommend this experience, and am planning on coming back. ||||Picture of Aaron and I after a great day

Our family had such an amazing time at Big Timber. The fishing was lights out and Aaron knew all the spots for the different species we wanted to hit, including a hike up a remote river to where the salmon where moving up. The cabins were clean, spacious, & comfortable and the food was delicious. Fish to bring home was boxed up by the lodge and remained frozen solid for 30 hours until we were home & it found a freezer. So if you're looking to get off the gird and do Alaska right, you'll find a great place in A&W Big Timber!

My friends and I had an amazing time at Big Timber Lodge. I've been to Kodiak three times and this was by far my best experience. The Lodge is incredible given its remote location. The lodge owner Aaron and his family are overly-accommodating (we ate all of our meals inside their home). Our group deer hunted and fished. We had the opportunity to shoot or catch our limit almost every day. On my past Kodiak trips I lost weight upon returning - not this one. Aaron's wife cooked amazing meals (halibut soup, lasagna, deer chili, king salmon). The accommodations are very unique given the remoteness - warm cabins, comfortable beds, hot water, Our group is already planning our next trip back to Big Timber!

I just returned from the lodge fishing with Aaron Carter and Walt Powell. He picks you up and takes you back to Kodiak with the boat. I had a great time and caught salmon, halibut, ling cod, pacific cod and a lot of black bass. I had a great time. There was 2 other fishermen on the boat. Aaron was fun and safe which is very important for a captain or guide. They make the trip!. He and Walt filleted, Baily packed and froze the fish. Rooms and meals were good. We caught fish every day either on the top or the bottom. This would work even for a family vacation. I hope to be able to go back!

Aaron, Brittany, & Bailee (and Shawn) made our trip absolutely unforgettable! From the minute we arrived, we felt welcomed and they were focused on providing an experience that exceeded our hopes. ||The cabins were great, meals were excellent, and the fishing was AMAZING! We highly recommend Big Timber Lodge on Raspberry Island for your Alaskan Adventure.

Pick your adventure! We fished in the ocean, hunted to the top of the mountain, and fly fished for salmon and trout in three river all with Aaron’s professional touch. He let us do it our way!!! The accommodations were great, just what we wanted and the meals Brittany made, amazing. They treated us like an extension of their family, not just customers. We had an amazing time, one we will be talking about forever! Thanks Aaron Brittany Bailey!!!!
