John and Sara Leslie were fantastic hosts. Check-in went very smoothly, and the house was just as described. When we did have a question or two, John responded immediately with a recommendation or an answer. The house was quiet and private, and it was a nice getaway from our hectic lives. My wife had a little break from her chemotherapy treatments. We hiked Lake Cuyamaca and saw geese, condors, and a bald eagle, and we spent time in the quaint downtown. The house was pet-friendly, and we brought our little weiner dog, Charlie. Overall, we had a wonderful time. -Troy & Rachel

John’s cabin was exceptionally clean. We stayed at his cabin during the power outage Julian was experiencing. He was proactive and called us with options if we decided to continue with our stay because of this options we decided to proceed with the stay! I will say this much not all Airbnb's offer the options he did! We were pleasantly surprised everything worked like a charm. The power was restored within 15 mins upon arrival. The cabin offers a very welcoming appeal and the wood burning fireplace offers a cozy atmosphere! The location is ideal central to everything in Julian. We go up to Julian once a year and we are positive we will stay here again!

Had a perfect stay in a lovely cabin in a quiet neighborhood. Check in and check out was easy, cabin was clean and cozy. We were welcomed by a parade of Wild Turkeys on the road in front of cabin and lovely deer in the backyard. Had a simple question and host responded immediately. Had a wonderful, stress free stay and highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time at Paradise in Pine Hills - it’s a cozy, beautiful place, ready to take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Close to Julian, Ramona and hiking trails, just what we looked for. John is a great host, very responsive and provides great information on things to do in the area.

Family of 4 really enjoyed this home for a 2 day getaway. Living room was extremely welcoming and comfortable. Home was huge and we really enjoyed going in the jacuzzi when it was cold at night. Recommend this place if you’re traveling with a large family!

The views from the house were gorgeous! Love how close the location was to the lake. The house was clean & the host was very easy to work with. Loved having the Alexa in the kitchen.
Kitchen could use a little stalking of supplies, but could work with it.
The bedrooms each had a bathroom & were nicely separated.
I would recommend this house to anyone who needs a family style get away.

We had so much fun in this house for our mini vacation. Only 3 of us (my daughter, friend & I) so we had a lot of room upstairs & downstairs. The house is pet friendly too.

The view outside is amazing for sunrise & sunset. We took so many pictures of all the vivid colors. After about 830pm, sit outside on tbe patio and check out all the stars. Another peaceful & amazing site to see.

If you like taking a walk or a run, it's only 1.27 miles down to the main road. Lake Cuyamaca is about 5 min drive from the house. Lots of rentals on the water and The Pub Restaurant food is very tasty. Julian is about a 15 min drive

We definitely will choose this house again on our next trip to the lake and/or Julian.

This is our 6th time staying here over the last 6 years and couldn’t ask for a better cabin for groups of 6-12 people. The location to Lake Cuyamaca is perfect and the numerous amenities in the cabin offer plenty to do if the weather is up.
