We had two lovely nights in mid September in room 212. The view from this room is great, we could see water and the ferries. We arrived early and wanted to leave our luggage with the hotel since we had reservations at Muir Woods. A simple phone call to the number posted on the door brought a friendly gentleman over in very short time to let us in the lobby and stash our luggage until check-in time later in the afternoon. When we returned, Robin was at the front desk. What a delight! She gave us spot on advice for restaurants. Robin was at the desk Saturday and again on Sunday as we checked out. Each time she was friendly and so helpful. We parked in the public lot adjacent to the hotel and were happy with the safety of our car. We took the ferry over to San Francisco on Saturday and had a blast spending the day wandering around, but were glad to come back to the quiet haven of the hotel and our comfortable room. Hotel Sausalito has so much character. We felt safe and comfortable - and thanks to Robin we felt like valued customers. Would stay again if our wanderings find us nearby!

Stayed here for a business trip mid October. We travelled 12 hours from New Zealand and Robin gave us the warmest and most friendly welcome. She gave us the best recommendations for our stay, she knows Sausalito like the back of her hand. We are SO glad we stayed here instead of downtown where our conference was held. It was a quiet, clean and peaceful sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle.|We felt so welcome and comfortable the whole stay. |The reception is closed in the morning which was a bummer for some, but we could always count on Robin to help us out with anything after noon. |The location is epic. Nice views from the bedrooms and the ferry terminal is right on your doorstep.

Rooms need a lot of work. Checked in to our first room. The AC didn’t work. The front desk attendant responded very quickly despite having gone to a different hotel. When she couldn’t fix it she moved us to another room with seemingly working AC. By morning the room hadn’t cooled at all. The hallway was about 10 degrees cooler. Not the hotels fault but there was loud construction across the street and on the first floor of the hotel where they are building a restaurant. Both projects started at 7 AM. Again, not the hotels fault, but very annoying

What a quaint, lovely, comfortable, perfectly located hotel! From the first contact with our friendly, helpful, delightful hostess Robin, to the view from the room, to the easy, safe walk to shops and restaurants we had a wonderful stay! We highly recommend this hotel and we will be back!
