Un lugar muy venido abajo. La atencion no es del todo mala, pero sinceramente deja mucho (o muchisimo) que desear. Mi pareja y yo no volveríamos la verdad. La ubicacion no es la mejor, y la limpieza no es la adecuada

My stay was in the Golden Era when San Francisco was...well, San Francisco, before you were a twinkle in your grandfather's eye. Fresh out of college in Montana it was 1960 and the Harcourt fresh off the train my introduction to a great city full of wonderful eccentric odd balls. Best of all - room, breakfast and dinner $105 a month... Sorry, y'all... you were just born too soon. Ciao!||||.

It is primarily a residential hotel, however more pleasant than most. It is clean, quiet, and has a charming, Victorian-inspired look and feel to it. There is free coffee available in the mornings down in the dining/rec room just off the lobby. It rarely has vacancies, as it is popular among locals, as well as travelers. I recommend it first when friends need a place to stay, but it's usually booked up.

I've been to alot of places in my life but this place is a complete hell hole. I voluteered in a homeless shelter before and it was in a better state than this hotel, honestly. Upon arriving in San Fran I was told at a tourist office all accomodation in the city is fully booked, apart from Harcourt Hotel(San Fran was my last stop on my road trip). When we entered the reception there was 2 men and 2 women sitting at a table drinking and cussing. The hallways had wallpaper peeling from the walls and damaged picture frames. The room was similar, the carpets were filthy, walls grimey, bed lamp wasn't working and the bed sheets had a weird smell. We needed to go for a walk asap. However, the hotel is in a very grim, run down part of San Fran. I took a walk on my first evening and there was prostitutes, gangs on corners and men in suits standing around looking guilty it was like something from a movie!! We hit a club that night and when I arrived back the guy at reception had his feet up on the counter, talking with 2 guys and he gave me and my girlfriend a hard time by asking ridiculous questions and wanted to see our passports. I exchanged verbals with him and the next morning we packed our bags and got out of dodge! I wont discuss the shared bathrooms, theyre not fit for humans.

This is primarily a residence hotel, and should not be used for usual hotel accomodations.|It is a very old building with no new upgraids, not very clean, very shabby. The only amenity is a "dining room" with a microwave for residents to heat their meals. The location, the appearance, the clientele, all give the impression of a run down flop house in the seadiest part of town. Most of all, our confirmed reservation for a room with a private bath was not upheld. They gave us a room with no bathroom, and they could not rectify that. We were left out on the street with no place to go. Their "offer" was to charge us "only" the rate for a room without bath - for the room without bath they gave us.|A terrible experience I never want to relive.|

This is a Residential Hotel.

The rooms are typically rented weekly. The rate is usually $200- $250, depending on the type of room. Rooms with windows facing the street are at the higher end. Some rooms include bathrooms, however most of them do not.

There is a full time house keeping staff as well as a friendly maintenance man. Rooms are cleaned once and week, and the shared facilities are cleaned daily. However the bathrooms are awful. There are also some overall aesthetic issues.

Compared to other residential hotels at this rate The Harcourt is nice. With some love and care a room in The Harcourt could be an affordable cozy oasis in the city.
