The owner does not like cats, it’s really like he or she is disgusted by them.
My horrible experience, that could have been unnecessary if they’d only put on the booking site, that their pets welcome was for dogs only.
This review is for the guest place inn and suites in Redding, California off of Cypress Road.
I ordered my room online 44 miles away. I did it on my phone and I put down that I had pets. When I got there, everything was going smoothly and I was almost finished registering and then he asked if I had pets. I said yes and then he jumped all over me saying I should have told him. That I could have gotten a fine. I said when I ordered the room I put down I had pets. Then he just waved it off. Just before he was done signing me in, he asked what kind of dog I had and I told him a Papillon about 5 pounds. He said oh, very small and I said yes. Then I told him I had a cat. That did it, he gave me the cancellation paper to sign. He said the owner absolutely didn’t take cats. I asked him if he could please ask the owner if I could. He said he would get in touch with her or him and ask. I really don’t think he even tried. I saw no sign that he got hold of anyone. About 10 minutes later, he told me he didn’t want to waste my time, that I should go to another place. I’m a 69 year old grandma. I was exhausted I had recently lost my second child. My only daughter I lost one of my boys 23 years ago and the pain is still unbearable for me. My children are my everything. I was so drained. I know this doesn’t have anything to do with it, but it just seems like everything is going downhill now. I don’t get listened to, or they try to play like they don’t notice you.
These owners are NOT cat people at all. They should have put down in their listing that “NO CATS ALLOWED!!”
I’ll describe the hotel as NOT PETS FRIENDLY.
BUT, Dog friendly ONLY
AFTERWARDS, I just sat in my car and just drove the extra 4 hours home. I couldn’t take another turn down. I don’t get out of the house much since the lost of my first child. It changed me for the rest of my life. I wasn’t able to work anymore, I couldn’t cook anymore, I hardly laugh or smile anymore. And I used to be a great worker and cook. I still have 2 boys and a lot of grandchildren, but the lost of 2 of my children has absolutely destroyed me.
I wish I could go to heaven but I know I can’t, because I can’t hurt my 2 boys and my grandchildren.

The stay was horrible it’s totally unsanitary conditions, cockroaches on the bathtub, the floor is dirty and sticky, the bed sheets are dirty. It really feels like they didn’t do any cleaning! DO NOT STAY IN THIS PLACE!
Also, the mirror in from of bed it’s nailed to the wall like for all 4 corners. It really felt like maybe it’s double sided mirror. I literally could not move it vs the bath mirror was properly installed

I knew we should have turned around and left as we walked in and saw a cockroach. THEY WERE EVERYWHERE! They were so bad that when I woke up and looked at my husband, he was sharing his pillow with one that was getting ready to crawl on his head. They were on the night stands, in the cabinets, everywhere! We had booked 2 nights and even looked for a different hotel for the second night, but being a holiday weekend, there was nothing available. The refrigerator was falling through the bottom of the cabinet. The microwave didn't work. Not sure what was going on with the TV, but there was just 2 lines going through it and no channels coming through. The towels were either really stained or really dirty! JUST DON'T!!

Do motels save money on internet WIFI if they provide WIFI that goes off intermittently like every 5 minutes and then some days it doesn't even come on? Do they save money if they never clean their signs that you can see from the freeway and they got visible mold or bug dwellings up there?

Terrible hotel, dirty bathroom (hair and shit in the toilet), room smelled of urine. We were moved twice because the shower was not hot and we had to shower with lukewarm water. The beds are covered with plastic, which makes sleeping very uncomfortable. The man at the reception was friendly, that's the only positive thing.

I stayed here around 5 to 6 months ago when it was called THE RED LION. Just because the name is changed doesn't mean that they've changed their Sheets, towels and they obviously still have an extreme pest control problems. It's sad that the owners don't take pride in their establishment, maybe if they did their business would be better.

No phone, no TV, no mini fridge, no ice machine on premises, shampoo and conditioner bottles mounted in shower both empty. I thought I was being pranked. If I hadn't been so tired I would have gone somewhere else

10052024@ 11:19am I asked the front desk to pay or reserve the room. Inasked if this was my last day there. She stated that you can pay the following day. While staying at Guestplace Inn and Suites, I was told that you can pay at any time. Some staff members at the Guest Inn Place don't know how to make payments for guest. MY QUESTION IS DO ALL STAFF KNOW HOW TO MAKE THE RESERVATION FOR GUEST OR HAVE ACCESS TO MAKE THE RESERVATIONS FOR GUEST.
10092024 @ 350pm the magnetic cap cover of the dead bolt lock was off. It is the circle part where the special key fit in. I put the cover back on. Someone was tinkering with the cap. 5:03 pm the smell of Marijuana was coming thru my air condition. The individual who was smoking by the swimming pool wasnt 25ft. The swimming g pool isn't 25ft... 10182024@ 540pm male hispanic guest smoking Marijuana upstairs on 2nd floor and the smell was coming through the vents. 847pm Spanish male smoking cigarettes in pool area...
