We very much enjoyed our 7 night stay in Amador Wine Country located in the scenic Sierra foothills. The Inn is located in the vineyards, so the views are unique and quite beautiful, and the vibe is relaxing and peaceful. The staff took very good care of us as we celebrated our 40th anniversary, and the Tuscany Suite is just marvelous. We have stayed at several really nice inns and Forbes rated properties, and the Grand Reserve Inn is exceptional.||Nearby we enjoyed visiting three vineyards - Casino Mine Ranch, PleinAir Vineyards, and Rombauer Vineyards. The scenery in the Sierra foothills is quite beautiful with hundreds and probably thousands of square miles of tall grass pastures, vineyards, and winding roads. The Fig Barn in Plymouth is a nice treat too.||We took two day trips to the Napa Valley to fully appreciate Domaine Carneros and to savor Brasswood, Bistro Don Giovanni, and Bouchon Bakery.||The Wilderotter Vineyards and Teneral Cellars produce several excellent wines on the property that were made available for the evening wine and cheese tasting. Then we looked forward to breakfast as our three hosts served up tasty treats. This is the Inn that we hope to return to again and again.

We just returned from an amazing weekend at Grand Reserve Inn. Everything about the venue is first class with no amenities spared. The rooms are beautifully decorated with the highest quality bed, towels, furniture, etc. The views of the vineyards from each room are stunning. We were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived and were greeted with a glass of wine. Matricia and Rebecah were wonderful hosts throughout our stay. Can’t wait to return!

Having returned here again, the experience is just as good as ever. The Inn is run like a luxury hotel. The rooms and atmosphere are incomparable.||The entire time from check-in to check-out is smooth, professional, and enjoyable. It is so relaxing and yet convenient to wineries and good places to visit and eat as well.||Afternoon wine and snacks are amazing, as is morning breakfast. Everything is meant to pamper. It is everything you'd ever want for an excellent getaway and so worth it. It's simply the best for many miles around.||

After a long pandemic hiatus it was very nice to break back into travel and hotel stays again. I found this place by circumstance checking Google maps of the area, and so glad I did!||The inn is not large, just five suites; yet all very high quality, roomy and well appointed. Having stayed in many hotels, B&Bs, and inns over the years this is definitely at the top end of fine establishments... and in a matter of fact many top luxury hotels fall short compared to the Grand Reserve, both in quality and service.||We were immediately greeted by the innkeeper, Linda, and shown to our room, the Piedmont. We were also brought glasses of wine to welcome us after the drive, a very nice touch. Tastefully appointed the room has everything you'd need, including a nice fireplace, pvt. outdoor siting area, a small undercounter refrigerator and coffee maker. What impressed me most is the the suite was immaculately clean and not a speck of dust or dirt spot anywhere. The bed was uber comfortable.||There's a wine and cheese plate time in the afternoon and it was fun to meet and mingle with other guests. In the morning there's a wonderfully prepared breakfast in the great room or on the terrace.||Nestled in a vineyard the building is single storied in a Mediterranean haciendo style with a large courtyard beyond the entry. Linda is a consummate host/innkeeper always offering to help, give advice on local places to visit or eat, and just making the stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.||If you want a tranquil place away from the tourist hubbub and near some extraordinary wineries this is a must stay.|I will be back.

One of our very favorite places for a weekend get away! Celebrated my husbands birthday weekend with great wine, cheese platters, amazing breakfast each day and wonderful hosts, Ravel & Linda. You can’t beat the views, tranquility and over the top comfort of the Grand Reserve Inn. The amenities are top notch with no details left to spare. Great place to meet other couples, or rent out with friends. Thank you for another amazing stay!

The most special and memorable inn stay we have had in recent memory. The team at the Inn leave no detail overlooked. From a welcome glass to sunset over the vineyard, we reveled in luxurious accommodations away from it all. Delicious breakfast, great local recommendations, and a short walk to the tasting room. We will be back!

The Grand Reserve Inn is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. The GRI is in the middle of a vineyard, providing a scenic and peaceful setting. The inn has a wonderful dining area that can be open to the outside, a large shared courtyard, and a patio and firepits looking out to the vineyard and the hills beyond. The food is beyond compare, and the staff take care of your every need. The large rooms have beautiful furnishings, fireplace, and a private patio. Last but not least, you can enjoy the delicious Wilderotter wine at the tasting room. The GRI is wonderful for either a couple's get-away or an intimate group event.

This was hands down one of the most amazing stays I’ve ever had. From the moment we showed up and Ravel got us squared away in our room to the moment Linda waved goodbye, every single part of this stay was fantastic. The property itself is gorgeous, the setting in just eye-popping with views and every direction, the location is amazing for wine tasting, and the service is on par with anything you can find, anywhere at any price point.

If you’re looking at the Plymouth area or just want to stay at an amazing place, you need to check this place out.

(Helpful tip: if you want to skip the crowds, August is a fantastic time to go. The grapes are getting ripe on the vines, so the views are amazing. Did I mention you can all but reach off your private veranda and grab a grape off the vine?)
