El Mirasol Villas - Palm Springs, California

Just a short distance from the central Palm Sprngs city centre, this resort, built originally by Howard Hughes, is beautifully maintained. The friendly staff is helpful to new visitors to Palm Springs.

Two pools, delightful patios, and well-appointed rooms add to comfort and a pleasant stay.

We've stayed at this wonderful resort four times now; twice in 2021, once in 2022 and just recently. It's always a real pleasure to stay here and Paul & Bruce are great hosts, very welcoming and accommodating. The salt water pool they put in is pure luxury. The grounds are lush and the crowd of men here is always a bit different, but typically very friendly and mellow. Can't wait to go back!

Recently spent a weekend at the Mirasol. Found the grounds lush and beautiful. Had a room with a kitchenette and a very nice private patio, although the bathroom was a little dated. The staff was efficient and friendly. If you are a light sleeper make sure not book rooms 20-24 as they are right behind Ramon Blvd which has lots of traffic and can get noisy at night. The other negative is the weak breakfast they offer, it consists of instant oatmeal packages, a banana and a tangerine. A simple thing like offering hard boiled eggs would really make a big difference. The banana bread was a nice treat. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and we would definitely come back.

I've stayed at El Mirasol Villas every time I visited Palm Springs for almost 20 years. The hosts, Paul and Bruce, are very gracious, and the staff is always helpful. The grounds are beautiful, and the views of the mountains and palm trees are spectacular. The rooms are spacious and comfortable too!

Great patio overlooking the pool and gorgeous San Jacinto Mountains, to enjoy a coffee and some cocktails.|The pool always so clean and refreshing! The grounds and landscaping look so great and a comfortable space. Friendly place to meet and chat with other guests, from around the U.S. and the world!|Paul and Bruce so friendly, welcoming, and always assuring we have a great stay! Great place that is spacious and one of the oldest (gay) hotels in Palm Springs (Liz Taylor & Marylin seem to have stayed here). It has 2 pools (1 heated ) and a jacuzzi in the back, surrounded by orange trees. Don’t expect the Ritz Carlton, but rooms are clean & the service impeccable (I locked myself out on a Sunday night and Tom was there in 5 min to get me back in, thanks!) and the price unbeatable in comparison to other gay establishments. It’s also relatively quiet while conveniently located next to the raunchy All Worlds Resort, should that be of interest. Definitely would stay there again

This resort is a great place to choose for your time in Palm Springs. This was our first visit and we will definitely go back. There are multiple resorts in this area on Warm Sands Drive that cater to many different interests. If you like a lush, smaller and relaxing place, El Mirasol should be your choice.||The property owners (Paul and Bruce) and staff (Tim) are friendly and accommodative. The pools are lovely and the views of the mountains are spectacular. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. We had a private patio. There are about 15 rooms total.||There is tea/coffee available for breakfast plus a limited fruit/sweet selection. We went out for breakfast since I like a bigger offering and love my eggs! If I could change one thing about El Mirasol, it would be to upgrade the breakfast choices... hard boiled eggs, cereal, bagels, etc.||Our week in Palm Springs at El Mirasol was very pleasurable. We did some shopping at the Outlets in Cabazon, went to the Zoo and Joshua Tree National Park, rode the Tramway and did other sight seeing around town. And of course doing happy hour at the bars on Arenas!||The owners also recommended a few massage therapists for a massage - a must when on vacation! I was able to schedule one with Scott and he was very, very good. He came to the hotel and was very professional and focused on the areas u have been having issues with.||All in all, I can't imagine a better place to stay for a relaxing, peaceful and rejuvenating stay in Palm Springs.
