I have been calling to cancel reservations and re-book when the weather is safe to drive I'm bringing a person that is older and In need of walking device. I've had no response to emails and no response to the phone, which doesn't make this a good business. I wanted to bring my son and other family to stay here but with the horrible customer service, i'm already receiving I will be making other arrangements. I guess they just get to keep our money and we go without.

This place is charming! The interiors of the cabins were wonderful, clean with new furnishings. We loved the location and unique, historic appearance both inside and out. The service and hospitality from Esther was impeccable, she was so friendly and welcoming. Only the outdoor spaces need some work - the pool was unfortunately broken and the property needed some landscaping help. Other than that, we had a great stay! Very peaceful and enjoyable.

The ongoing updates to the property are a testament to how much the ownership cares about their guests & the community. New management & it shows. Joey was extremely accommodating to our room needs and shared recommendations on places to eat that are fair-priced. El Colorado is a historic place with many updates in the works. They also have beautiful grass now! We really enjoyed our time here & will be back.

Staff is super friendly and that’s about it. The place is a dump and desperately needs a remodel. Dead rats outside and the room advertised as non smoking reeked of cigarette smoke. None of the lights would turn on, air conditioning was blowing hot air and the room was filthy. The “window” of the room was a piece of plexiglass wedged in with a empty pill bottle lid. Luckily we have family we could stay with that night so we just left. Didn’t bother trying to get a refund, chalk it up as a learning experience.

This place had such potential but was a dump! The best thing I could say was that the bath towels were nice and fluffy. That was all the towels we had. Had to change rooms because the first room recked of smoking, the 2 air conditioners did not work, the carpet had cigarette burns and was dirty. The next room was much smaller, and dirty, not enough linens, coffee maker did not have any coffee or filters, no paper towels, dishes, glasses or utensils for the kitchenette. The upkeep was awful, the bathroom needed a complete redo, horrible job of putty to keep the tiles up and the bugs out. No towel bars or space to put a thing. The air conditioner had gaps to the outside so the bugs could just come on in.

We saw this property on Airbnb and called them personally to make a reservation. This place is WAY overpriced for what you get. While they are pet friendly, there is not 1 blade of grass anywhere on or near this property. Its mud, dirt, rocks, broken glass, thorns. No where to take a dog to walk or do business. The pool was closed and covered with a tarp. Classy. One of the roofs of a cabin was covered with a tarp. Our room was small with very hard furniture, no sofa to sit on, just hard setee. We were given 2 small towels and 1 small broken bar of soap. Thats it. We had to ask for a coffee maker and was brought a dirty Keurig with 2 pods. Thats it. Nothing else was provided for a 2 night stay. I can get breakfast included with actual useful items for less than $143 a night at a nice hotel. The cabins are not solo, they are duplexes. You can hear every word from the people adjacent to you. The AC unit and heating unit are rusted and loud. Worst of all, we could not stay there more than 2 1/2 hours because of the strong smell of cigarettes permeating the entire cabin. The outside of front door was littered with cigarette butts, and a DIRTY TOILET PLUNGER IN THE BUSH NEXT TO OUR FRONT DOOR. Are you kidding me? We could not use a single "BBQ" aka ash trays that are rusted out old metal charcoal metal stands. We were only given a 1 night refund because our dog was in the room for 2 hours and they had to "re-clean" entire room. We packed up and went home instead of having our vacation. Don't believe the higher reviews. There are also permanent residents here, I heard 1 guy say he'd lived there 2 years! Not an ideal relaxing location at all, much better places to stay for the money. Staff told us they are constantly booked. If thats true, spend a little money on some towels, coffee, soap, cleaners, etc.
