The staff here are very caring and supportive. They took my mother under their wing and was so wonderful in her time there. Other people in her life didn’t support the help she was being given so they took her out. But I send out all my prayers to the staff there who do a great service!

First, I would like to say that the staff here is so caring. They went above and beyond for my Mom and really showed so much compassion. They got 4 stars because of the care she received. I left off a star because if I’m being honest it needs some serious cleaning. The residents are always clean and taken care of but the floor and bathrooms need work a lot. I often had to bring cleaning stuff and wipe things down. If they can get that taken care of it would be even better. We had one or two issues with staff but honestly there are way more that are amazing and care so the few that don’t aren’t worth mentioning.
Probably could use more activities as well.

Hands down one of the best nursing homes I’ve ever seen. It has vending machines for the residents and amazing courtyard and garden with turtles and flowers and Bingo. It also has a nursing home cat Lucy that the residents love and feed and give treats to. It has some of the most caring, knowledgeable, and experienced staff and great food with taco soup. This facility really goes above and beyond deserves nursing home of the year!

A staff member called me October 23,2020 for the first time to tell me I need to pick up my deceased brothers items or they would donate. I was in shock because my brother had been released from the hospital 3 weeks before to go home and he was home. She then corrected herself to say discharged instead of deceased and was very rude. Once I got over the shock that my brother was not dead she continued to tell me they had called me several times. I asked when was he there. It was in June. I let her know I had never heard from them. He had been there 2 days before demanding to leave because the care was so awful. I wouldn’t take my dying animal to this place. The care is awful and so rude. Then to get a call saying my family member was deceased! Shocking!! Seems the state needs to check into this place quickly!

My mom has been living there for a few months now. She has called me a few times to call someone to get her what she needs. Such as a diaper change or clean clothes. There is a couple of staff members whom I adore, but the rest of them don't need to work there.

Edit: 2 months later and we had to bury our mom. They neglected to take care of her the way they should have. Please don't take a love one here. I wouldn't even take my dog nor cat there

I wouldn't dare put another one of my love one's in this place for nothing. They are irresponsible and don't look after the resident's properly. My hands were tied and it the time it was the only place that would take a loved one. After several unexcused supposedly accidents that loved one was moved from their. Their not bathed diaper changed or feed properly. They only want money. Got a very low rating and I totally understand why.

Make that a -1, this place is a joke. When a person in their care has to call a family member at home and have them call the nurse to get him to bathroom!!!! Not once but twice. He was only there from Friday afternoon till Monday morning. They never brought him his lunch on Saturday, but came in to pick up. We took him food every meal, but it’s the principle of it. When you have a place that you claim to care for disabled people, then get off your a$$ and do it. It is a shame that in Blount County we have the poorest care for the sick and elderly, doctor not included. We do have some great doctors. It hard for them to do their job when they have no one to help them. Heaven help the people who don’t have a choice but to live in this place.

My husband passed away there last month. He was there almost 2 years and in the beginning he received good care, then as time went by the quality of care reduced. He passed away on September 6 from dementia at which time his life insurance company requested the staff doctor complete an assessment form. It has been a month and I still don't have the paper. Then recently I have found out the doctor who was been treating my husband is 82 years old. I am investigating now to see if he is still licensed to practice, because Something isn't right. My son just went in to try to get it and the administrator threw him out and threatened to call the police on him. Something is seriously wrong with this place. I wouldn't recommend leaving your dog there.
