Do NOT stay here! This place is terrible. We stayed here last night and I honestly can't wait to get the heck out of here. Our room is disgusting and wasn't cleaned right. There were poop smears left in the toilet from the previous guest, luckily there was at least a toilet brush for me to scrub them off, but it was completely ridiculous and unacceptable that I had to do so.

The carpet is also so dirty it's actually sticky under our bare feet - like so sticky that when we go to the bathroom our feet are sticking slightly to the linoleum! I have never stayed somewhere so filthy in my entire life!

Then there's the bed, which is more like a medieval torture device than anything else. There's absolutely no cushion to it. It's just thin fabric over springs, which you can hear creaking anytime you slightly move. My husband and I are in so much pain right now and a barely slept last night. Our shoulders and back are absolutely killing us!

The plan was to eat breakfast at the restaurant here, but now we're not going to because there's no way the food is decent or sanitary if they think it's acceptable to rent rooms with poop smeared toilets and sticky carpets out to people. I'm not willing to risk food poisoning, thanks. I'm going to shower and then we're going to get the heck out of this dump ASAP.

If you are looking to just take a break this is a nice quiet town. Easy to get to. Big room. Nothing fancy but nice and clean. You get a text when you can check in with your keyless code to access hotel and room. Pool and spa could have been cleaner and maybe some chairs around it if you did want to use it. Nice balcony in main street but no real outdoor chairs. Some random chairs. No pictures of room but pics from balcony

On line shows they open at 9 am. We showed up at 9:45. The girl that "greeted" us said they were not open yet. We asked what time they open and she had to search in her phone to find out. ?. Zero personality and NO interest in having customers at all. Will never go back there again.

Not a fan. Keyless entity and no one on-site to help if needed. Room was clean except for coffee bar. So much dust on a dirty coffee press and I don't know how old the coffee was - I couldn't drink it. Not to mention the bed was like sleeping on a granite slab.

Service was good workers were awesome. Rice Bowl was amazing! Loved it. I usually add Salt n Pepper to all my food and in this case I didn't have to. Rich in flavor and perfect portion of everything. I would definitely return again and definitely suggest to add this place to your bucket list.

We made reservations for this place about a month ago for a wedding of one of my best friends. Upon arrival, we did not find anywhere to check in. We eventually made contact with the receptionist at the bar downstairs who gave us the number for the manager. The first two calls went unanswered. Eventually after 20 minutes waiting, we made contact with the manager who apparently sent a confirmation text to a wrong number so we never received instructions on how to enter the property and get to our room. She was also very rude to my fiancé after she pronounced her name incorrectly. After waiting another 20 minutes for the code to get in the room we decided to go to another hotel that we could actually get access to. Would not recommend staying here if you have an event to go to seeing as this circus almost resulted in us being late to the wedding. There are much better hotels in Elk Grove for about the same price. Hopefully, the manager will do the right thing and refund us the money that we are owed for a room we did not use.

Follow up with the manager, they will not be dropping the charge. They failed to confirm that we received instruction to get in and did not send us the entry code in a timely manner. Do not recommend this place to your friends.

I stayed at the lodge for a wedding so I didn't have time to check out the restaurant or bar.

The room was very spacious and clean. I really enjoyed staying here. The host was very sweet and accommodating. I asked if it was okay to check in around 12 pm and she made it possible. In the future, I will definitely pick this place again.

Unrelated to the Lodge:
I do wish that I had more time to explore the stores nearby. I have read that there's a lot of history here and also there's some bars in the area 🙂

A very nice experience for lunch or dinner. Menu reflects local flavors and the roots of the town culture. Steaks, scampi, chix & waffles, to deep fried battered pickles. Also Asian selections. Large portions for the price. Friendly Service. Tipped the kitchen $10 for an excellent meal from a talented kitchen. Clean and welcoming atmosphere.
