Wonderful trail ride with the most amazing views. My mule April was foot perfect and a sweet heart. My non horsey husband loved the one hour morning ride. Highly recommended!! Sue was so sweet and answered all my questions!

You have to come here! Sue and her horses are so lovely. Me and my partner came here for a vacation trip and we both an amazing time.

Sue is so personable and honestly genuinely caring and friendly. She made sure we were comfortable. She was not only knowledgeable of the flora and fauna, but charismatic and charming. She really cares for her horses as well, which is always great. A great moral compass on her! 😛

I can't wait to come and ride again!

Sue is amazing! I wanted to plan a horseback ride and proposal over the holiday and found Coyote Ridge due to their great reviews. Sue and I began coordinating weeks in advance and unlike some other rude or non-responsive stable owners I spoke to she was receptive to my array of questions and from the beginning was so willing to help in whatever way she could to make the perfect proposal. I was able to come by the stable two days prior and Sue so patiently and enthusiastically helped me choose a spot, specific time of day, setup the (annoyingly numerous) props including candles, pictures hanging from trees, champagne, blanket, camera, music, etc. and even participated in a dry run. We texted over the next few days and Sue even went out of her way to pick up ice and a lighter, items I had forgotten to purchase in advance. On the day of, while we were out on our ride (which was also amazing - see below) Sue setup the proposal site again exactly as I had hoped, carefully incorporating every minor detail so that when we returned I only needed to get the (discreet) thumbs up and I would know we were ready to roll! My (now) fiance and I could not have been happier with the outcome and I can honestly say it was only made possible because of Sue!

And on the ride itself, we went into the mountains as the sun was just starting to go down and not only was the scenery epic but it was made extra exciting but the two coyotes that were stalking us! Sue's nephew Sage was our knowledgable and engaging guide who made sure we were comfortable, had lots of laughs with, and we realized was also an expert photographer!

This is one of the most positive experiences I've ever with a small business and could not recommend this stable enough!

Coyote Ridge was my favorite part of our vacation to Joshua Tree. It was a beautiful ranch, and our trusty companions were so much fun. I rode Gus. He's gorgeous! My husband and his friend were very happy to ride the darling mules, April and Sierra. They had the cutest personalities and made us laugh many times throughout the ride. Our friend Tammy thought Tanner was great. He made us laugh too. He's quite the pre-ride snacker lol! I'm a huge dog lover, so having Kit and Willie along for the ride was a bonus. Kit is the best greeter ever! He's the happiest boy! You can tell the animals are all well care for and loved. Sue's awesome! She even makes a special effort to supply water to the wildlife out on the trails. That was so nice to see. After the ride was over, she let me help her and hose hose off our sweaty little mounts. If I were ever to return to this area, I would absolutely ride here again. Oh... I almost forgot- I got to see a rattlesnake cross right in front of us!! Well, Gus saw it first, but that was a huge highlight of my ride. Sue knew all about that particular species, and it was interesting to learn about the wildlife in general. We're from Ohio, so it was all pretty new to us. Needless to say, we loved our time there and would highly recommend it!

Had an incredible 2 hour morning ride through the beautiful landscapes in the Morongo Valley. Horses were very well cared for and trained. Also, the groups are not big which makes for a relaxing experience. The host and owner is wonderful!

Sue took my family and I on the ride of a lifetime. We had an absolutely fantastic time seeing the desert around the Palm Springs area on horseback. Sue handled both the horses and us (incompetent riders) like a true pro. Can’t recommend highly enough.
