Good that it's close to work on wet or dry side base which is convenient but room is VERY old, linoleum floors in the head are a mess, dimly lit and dirty dusty carpet corners with sticky hair pits in every corner, housekeeping moves your stuff around on work table when your away during the day!!! Terrible worst NGIS rooms ans housekeeping I've ever seen!!! The front desk is super nice, and maintenance came to replace showerhead that was old and broken when asked which is nice, but fact that you can't trust housekeeping is big red flag. Also Sailors from Enlisted housing enter into Laundry rooms on weekends to use your washer dryers so don't do laundry on weekends!

Worst room ever NO AC so I built my own which costs about 20 bucks for the weekend
..its hard to believe this is what Sailors and Marines have to go through to enjoy time off from work...do better for these warfighters

It's a typical conus PCS/TDY hotel. NGIS has several satellite buildings to accommodate the large number of sailors/Marines on school orders. Most of the buildings here are in rough shape and desperately need a remodel. At the very least the beds are comfortable and you get plenty of space. Very functional but not very pretty.

They let me phone in to check out so that was nice. But seriously this was the chair in my room, photo below. You know what that is? Pretty sure we all know what that is. Nasty.

The room is very old. There is no A.C., which becomes very important in the hot San Diego summer days. Seriously, even with the overhead fan on and a nearby fan blowing at me I would be sweating bullets while sitting still. Room service is mandatory on a daily basis so you have to be out of the room in the morning for them to clean it. Not all of the washing and drying machines even work, but at least it's free. Honestly, I think this place is primarily meant to house the sailors while the ships are unavailable. So, coming to stay as a civilian guest, it definitely was not a good experience because I have higher expectations for hotels/motels. If you don't mind the heat or the room service, then this place is ok. It offers free laundry room access, Wi-Fi, and parking I think. But, for me, I will never come back to this place.

Staff put my 5 month old and I in a room with no AC during the summer. Even with the window open/fans on, it wasn’t comfortable. I guess when you make a reservation, rooms are still first come first served, which makes no point in reserving. Room also had roaches in it!

Room is very outdated for the cost walls are stained yellow and carpet is gross and stained. The shower takes 15 minutes to get got and then you have the option of either scalding or barely above cold. Showerhead is also placed for dwarves as it's at my shoulders and I'm only 5'3 also has very low water pressure and the flooring is dingy and yellow

Room had cockroaches! (maybe because it was a ground floor room). The building is also right next door to a parking garage that is extremely noisy. I was awaken at midnight multiple times from loud cars and car alarms going off.
