Cold Creek Inn - Mt Shasta, California

We love staying at Cold creek.
We started staying during covid because they clearly posted their policy regarding cleaning and behavior. We stay every time we pass through Mt. Shasta.
The rooms are small but always clean. Some are a bit spartan, there could be some more artwork.
All the beds we have slept in have been comfortable.
Staff has always been friendly.
As in all of Mt. Shasta you can hear the trains passing through. They are just across the street from the inn. We find the sound of them adds to the experience.
We will be staying at least one more time in 2025

We spent a Monday night at the Cold Creek Inn and enjoyed our stay. We had a suite with a sitting area, a bedroom and a full kitchen. It was nice to have the space and after nine days on the road and lots of restaurant food, it was also nice to be able to dine in with a simple dinner and a big breakfast. The place was very clean and the woman at the front desk with very nice. The Cold Creek is near to the center of town and other shopping or gas stations. We were sorry that it was cloudy when we were there, so we did not get to see the lovely mountain view that's shown in the photo, but we're from western Washington and so are no strangers to cloudy weather so it is what it is. We'll stay at the Cold Creek Inn next time we find ourselves in Mt. Shasta.

The motel sits right below Mt Shasta. It’s located on the highway, with a train running by. We got a king deluxe suite with a kitchenette. It worked perfectly for us and our 2 Boston terriers. The bed was really comfortable, and there was room for our 2 dog kennels.

The Cold Creek Inn was a perfect stop for a couple of nights: Clean, quiet, and comfortable. The room was well equipped with thoughtful touches like a luggage rack and USB plugs by the bed. Towels thick and fluffy and the water pressure was great.

Great motel for a spur of the moment two nights in Mt. Shasta. Room was very clean and had some nice touches in Organic coffee to brew, also a basket of other things to make hot beverages. Hand sanitizer, pump soap at the bathroom sink and shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. Bathroom is very small and economical, but works. Great hot water. Was nice to know we were drinking Spring water from the tap, as the entire town is tapped into the springs that feed the headwaters of the Sacramento River. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Bed very comfortable. Mt. Shasta is a great Northern California town with a vibe all it's own and to be experienced. We spent our time up on Mount Shasta, both days, but the town has great restaurants, and interesting shops to explore as well. Beautiful park at the Northern edge of town. Would happily stay here again when we need some Mount Shasta soul rejuvenation!

Excellent accommodations!
#1. We scheduled to check in late and there was an issue with our keys, and the person on night duty showed up and fixed it for us in a flash despite it being in the middle of the night.
#2. Room was super comfortable and clean

Clean, quiet, and affordable. We didn't need much but a shower and a sleep, but we were provided for nicely. The A/C is DEFINITELY effective. (Brr!) Overall, great place.

Tail Of Two Kitties

No air conditioner in the bedroom of the suites. The front room has one, but does not cool to the bedroom well.

No lock on the bathroom door and some people just don't get privacy, especially two year olds. So I was busted in on more than once.

The lady was super nice and I could tell that she really cares about the guests, but we won't be back.
