Scary place with roaches and no way, we didn't stay.

There always seems to be a problem here at Charles motel. From roaches crawling out of the microwaves, to no hot or no water at all, flooded showers due to clogged drains, and you'll need 'em showers for the filthy floors. The pillows are so so sad, ran down fluff. I suggest you bring your own. The decor is as if they found furniture off the side of the road, some TV's don't function, light switches falling out of the walls, I hope you don't enjoy privacy because the rooms curtains can see through and you can hear the chatter of your neighbors. It's noisy, unnecessarily so. It's more expensive than say Huntsvilles hotels and that's a major city. If you're looking for a possible shower and a place to rest your head, they can accommodate you. But I do not recommend any sort of vacation stay here. It'll do, but you can do better. $60 single bed, $15 per pet pet fee, $350 a week!!! Wooie! I guess the dope dealers can't be the only ones making a dollar around here!

Love The Charles!!! Always clean homey feeling rooms. Staff is always happy to help and anything you need is usually just a knock away 😉 It's ESPECIALLY been a great place to stay since the new Manager Christy started working there. #Charlestinian4life

The housekeeper Christy is a pure delight! She's very respectful with all of the guests and goes above and beyond to make sure the rooms are cleaned thoroughly, having clean linens and restroom areas stocked with toilet paper, hand soap, as well as complimentary single-size tubes of shampoo,and if really needed she has been known to come up with some toothpaste and a toothbrush for a guest or two here and there. She is just a really dedicated and hard worker over all.

NEVER STAY HERE this is the only warning I'll give despite what the other reviews may claim the owners are not friendly at all when I got the room the TV was broken the shower was spraying out brown water the sink was cracked and didn't work the curtains looking into the room was practically see through also watch out for all the roaches and mice don't even think about using the microwave because it might start on fire.

We stayed here for about a month while waiting for our house to be ready. It was decent size and had a kitchen which was nice but we called the manager one day to report what looked like bed bugs and they kicked us out. Very rude and unprofessional.

The staff is rude and incompetent once they have your money, the internet Wi-Fi sucks and there were roaches and ants all over the room. I had to get up in the middle of the night, go to Walmart and buy bug spray to spray the room after the woman at the front desk acted like she didn't know what I was talking about, she even said to me that she was not listening and that she doesn't care. I will not be back.
