Disclaimer: Lived there 2018-2019. Don't know how it is now. Lots of small things id suggest doing in the beginning to make it feel worthwhile, like moving the furniture to make it feel big. You'll just have to move it back at the end. 🙂

Same expense as the other newer dorms. Living there freshman year I was a mile from all the other freshmen (should hopefully be different now the new dorm next to it is built...we had to wake up to that construction everyday at 6-7a). Hot days got up to 90+ degrees in our triple because sometimes the AC stopped working. The girls sinks on our floor also regurgitated filth water and clogged multiple times. Staff at least tried there best to be quick with fixes and and flooring/ lounges were updated. Two elevators for 11 floors. You'd have to take the stairs with family for move-in because the bins of stuff are tying up the elevators. Sometimes one elevator broke down. On a move out day it happened and I got trapped with one of the huge bins and other students. Thankfully staff got us out relatively quickly then too! Props to some doing there best, but it really felt like the school piled us in like sardines for profit. Sophomore year too (first year to be forced to live on campus second year - messy story for another time...). Housing was always better quality and more affordable off-campus. Appreciate the people I met at least and the market/ food trucks! You were farther from the other food options though, so really the fat kid plan was good to buy market food and you lost the descending balance real fast. You'd never use the meals unless you walked to UTK or a across campus to The Garden which sometimes meant walking back in the dark alone. That's sometimes college life though.

It's old and it's a mess. But I lived here and I had fun. Super small and crowded rooms. Like, smaller than most dorms. But what do you do?

Good rooms, about as big as all other dorms on campus, only bad things is the showers, they have no hooks nearby!
