If it were possible to give 0 stars, I would have, but I'll settle for one.

I arrived after 7:30 PM and hadn’t noticed the policy stating that there would be no staff available after 7 PM. When I arrived, I tried calling the number provided, but there was no signal, so I couldn’t notify anyone.

I decided to knock on one of the three doors near the reception. After a few minutes, a man in an obvious state of confusion came out, armed, who initially closed the door, then reopened it and came towards me.

I asked if he was the owner and informed him that I needed to check in. He approached, awkwardly opened the reception, and verbally gave me the code to open the room. Then, as he was already walking away, he added that his wife would clarify everything the next morning.

The room opened with a numeric keypad but didn’t close properly from the inside, making it feel unsafe. Inside, it was relatively clean but full of gnats and mosquitoes.

To top it off, in this eerie atmosphere of a desolate place, the hot water didn’t work. The water pressure was so weak that it didn’t allow for a proper shower after a day out.

There was no point in calling the owner, given the previous encounter. We decided to get back in the car and leave.

We loved the vibes and are planning future trips. The host were wonderful and made us feel so welcome. We enjoyed the pool, grilling area and the campfire at the end of the day. We loved the room decor and the beds were actually very comfortable. The ACs were AMAZING! We went during a heat wave and those ACs didnt get the memo and froze us out. The property was stunning. We loved being surrounded by giant pine trees. This motel is on 30+ acres with a long driveway and felt remote. The rooms were clean as well. Would recomend!

I loved the location, it was quiet place to stay and the rooms were adequate. Our only problem was the WiFi worked good outside the room and even around the pool, but it didn’t work that well in the room. Maybe because the walls are cinder block.

Enjoyable stay. The room I stayed in was nice. Only thing I didn't care for was the mattress. Them springs were just uncomfortable. I stayed in a 1 bed room that had a microwave, mini fridge,, coffee pot and tv. The location was beautiful! Saw some others staying using the fire pit which was nice, and up the road there was a place selling campfire wood. I do intend to go here again In the near future.

What an absolutely lovely place! The grounds and atmosphere of this place are beautiful and so relaxing! The owners are incredibly accomodating and sweet! The rooms are very clean and minimalistic but if you're on the mountain to be in nature, you don't need the frills! It's perfect for a quick get-away!

I came here for the state park and this was the perfect location. They were very friendly and helpful with food locations, where to find the different activities. Really enjoyed the fire pit they have the wood cut and ready for use. This was by far a great place to come. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable. Thank you for your friendly hospitality and great accommodations. I plan to come back.

Our room was flooded when we arrived. The office staff (one man- very nice and apologetic) was gone when we tried to tell him only minutes after checking in. He moved us to a room that was okay, but said he would move us back to the "cottage". We said "no, thank you" because we did not want to unpack, pack, and unpack again. The refrigerator was nice. Towels were clean. Everything else is dirty, rustic, cheap. Price is WAY too high for such primitive accommodations. We were extremely uncomfortable because the room was hot and it had a window unit. The "cottage" has a window unit as well. A/C was VERY loud and hard to sleep. The swimming pool should have been open because it was 83 degrees and we were sweating after a short hike.
