Carter House Inns son varias casas de diferentes tamaños, pero todas más o menos en la misma zona y con un diseño similar, por lo cual son relativamente fáciles de ubicar. Todas tienen estacionamientos aledaños, aunque por lo general no tuvimos problema encontrando lugar para estacionar en la calle. La habitacion que rentamos estuvo bien: cómoda, limpia, suficiente espacio, agua caliente, y demás; lo que uno esperaría de un hotel sobre el promedio. El diseño interior del hotel no es muy extravagante pero, de nuevo, sobre el promedio. El servicio de bar y restaurante, particularmente, fue excelente; el servicio en recepción no tanto—muchas veces ni siquiera estaban en recepción ni contestaban el teléfono.

Estuvimos en Eureka por una noche. El restaurante de Carter nos los recomendaron por su comida gourmet.|No nos decepcionó. Exquisitos platillos. Yo pedí el Rissoto con champiñones, delicioso. Mi esposo pidió el salmón y quedó muy satisfecho.|Los postres de excelencia y los vinos guau! Tienen mas 2500 vinos disponibles en su menú.|El servicio de primera clase.|Nosotros fuimos a cenar. Es caro, pero vale la pena!|Nota: El restaurante esta frente al hotel que lleva el mismo nombre pero no lo encontré en trip advisor como restaurante por lo que pongo aquí mi comentario. Nosotros nos alojamos en otro lugar.

Vale la pena quedarse en este hotel, te sientes en el corazón de eureka, estilo victoriano. Excelente servicio, súper limpio y cómodo, lo recomiendo sin dudas. Tiene el único restaurante 5 estrellas de eureka. La mejor opción de Eureka y de hoteles por el redwood forest

Beautiful boutique hotel in the style of the classic Victorian build with all the amenities. Rooms were beautifully furnished with tasteful antiquey pieces. Lots of thoughtful touches in the room such as a water carafe that is refilled daily. Our suite had two fireplaces and a very large and deep two person jacuzzi bathtub, I'd love to get the brand of tub.

Staff is small but absolutely wonderful, so kind in every way, and very attentive to our needs. The lobby is cute and comfortable, set up for visiting and I saw many people using the area to eat the bar appetizers throughout our stay.

The area is downtown Eureka, which is beautiful but be warned it is a "downtown" area, but still felt very safe to walk around in during the day and evenings, and the hotel is right next to the harbor which is just beautiful to see in the mornings. There's plenty of parking in front of, and behind, the hotel and I felt safe parking my car in the area (although the hotel does warn against leaving bags in your vehicle).

I think the thing that really adds that extra wonderful value to the stay is the complimentary breakfast. They put on a beautiful continental spread and offer a hot meal selection on top of it.

Their dinner was wonderful as well, a beautiful French menu selection. Highly recommend making a reservation.

Boutique hotel with comfortable lobby. Check in is at a sit down desk. Friendly staff and lovely ambiance.|We were upgraded to room 201 which is a premium room with bay window sitting area and a gas fireplace. It had a huge very comfortable king size bed. The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub, was very large and had two bathrobes. It was our wedding anniversary trip and we had a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine waiting for us. ||There is a complimentary glass of house wine every evening. The wines were nothing special but it was a nice touch. Breakfast is very delicious with cooked to order eggs, buffet fruit and pastry, juice, and plenty of very good coffee. Breakfast is included in your stay.||We had a reservation for dinner, but the chef was sick. It was too bad. The staff suggested we try the Brick and Fire restaurant. The Brick and Fire was an excellent choice for food, wine selection, and desserts. It’s about an5 minute drive.

From the moment we walked in the door, the staff was wonderful! It was a busy time with dinner service going on, as well as complimentary wine in the bar. Check in was easy, and we were able to get a dinner reservation within the hour. I asked about an ice machine as I had items that needed to be kept cold. The woman at the front found us a mini fridge and brought it to our room right away. That was very much appreciated!||Dinner was a pre-fixed 3 course meal, and we also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast each morning. Everything was delicious, and there was a lot of detail and care that went into each food item.||Our room was very comfortable and clean. There was a heavy door that separated the rooms from the bar and lobby area that was very effective in minimizing noise. We were in the building where the restaurant is located.||There is ample parking both in the lot and on the street. The downtown area is very walkable and easy to reach. Several cute shops nearby, although many of them were closed over the holiday weekend.||We would not hesitate to stay at the Carter House Inn again and again!

We basically stopped in Eureka to sleep. This hotel was very nice but needs a little bit of love. Our room was huge but didn’t have AC. So we opened windows. The staff was great and the hotel gives you breakfast and a complimentary glass of wine and beer.
